4 out of 5 eggsGood Laptop for the money

Pros: Inexpensive. Backlit keyboard is nice, as well as the number pad on the side.

Cons: Windows 8 is for 8th grade girls looking for the next "app" to download. Windows 8 is terrible. But that's not Lenovo's fault. My only complaint about the computer so far is the plastic cover surrounding the keyboard keeps popping up.

Other Thoughts: People are sure complaining about it being cheap, or a bad product. The reality is that it's a $500-600 laptop, not a $2,500 Mac. Get over it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected from an Ultrabook

Pros: I liked the large touchpad on this laptop and the fact that the keyboard was backlit

Cons: The laptop was poorly constructed. The keyboard flexes when you type and they have made the keys too small in order to fit the 10-key keypad. Also, the battery only lasted about 3 hrs for me while doing web-browsing (not even close to the 6 hrs advertised). I used the laptop for a week before it began crashing on me.

Other Thoughts: I was really intruiged by the concept of the ultrabook. I purchased this laptop thinking I was getting a great deal on a high quality, ultra portable laptop. All I was planning on using it for was Microsoft Office and web browsing. After using this for two weeks I was extremely disappointed and I am switching to Apple.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful, crapped out after 3 weeks

Pros: Absolutely NONE--DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!!

Cons: Gave this to my son for Christmas Will not boot after just 3 weeks. Lenovo customer service is terrible. Have to pay to have them look at. I will never get another Lenovo.

3 out of 5 eggsLove the notebook, hate Win 8

Pros: Very nice Notebook PC. Love the backlit display.

Cons: Hate Win 8. I've been using PCs since my first dual floppy DOS IBM in the 80's. Worked at Microsoft as a vendor '95-2000, and loved what they did up to Win 7.
Now I hate the Win 8 interface, advertising, and inability to get work done.
How can I downgrade to Win 7? Then I will be happy again.

1 out of 5 eggsVery bad product, I received defected out of the box

Pros: the Screen dark out then turn into blue, red and yellow when I took it out of the box and turn on the power button. It doesn't reproduce all the time, but once every three tries. I returned it the second day!!

Cons: Don't buy this machine! It seems somewhere assembled not well.

2 out of 5 eggsNice, but.......

Pros: Lightweight, thin, cool running, fast

Cons: keyboard, touchpad

Other Thoughts: Keyboard had several keys that would stick. Touchpad is different feel, but could get comfortable with it with practice. Returned because of sticking keys.

Would have accepted a replacement if Newegg.com would have had one. Loved the lightweight thin design with large hard drive, memory and a ssd to top off everything.

4 out of 5 eggsI love this computer

Pros: It is a great design it works wonderfully. I love the back-lit keyboard. The touchpad works great! Very similar to a mac . I know people are saying that it is really jumpy but personally I like this touchpad and you can always adjust the settings.

Cons: My only con is Windows 8 ... I have not gotten windows 8.1 yet but I will soon and hopefully it is better. The touchpad did not work when I got it but newegg replaced the laptop for me and paid for all shipping costs.

Other Thoughts: When I first ordered the laptop the touchpad was not connected properly and I was able to get into the system regardless of use of a cursor and I tried downloading the software for the touchpad but it could not detect it which means there was something wrong with the actual hardware , but newegg replaced the laptop for me I called them and got a free shipping label to send it back and I got my new laptop within a week and this laptop works great!
