5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop for the price

Pros: I've had this laptop a year and have had no problems thus far. Battery life is decent, I get at least 4 hours usage before I need to charge it up.

Cons: 24G SSD is pretty useless. I've had the machine a year and I still haven't used it. The laptop is a tad heavy.

Other Thoughts: I usually use 4-5.5G of the 6G RAM available - I'm running visual studio 2013 on this laptop. I haven't had any issues with memory yet, but when I do; I'll be upgrading to 8G.

3 out of 5 eggsGood if you can get it cheap

Pros: Nice configuration (CPU, RAM, LCD...) for the price I got ($450). Fast enough for daily home use including watching HD movies.
Back-lit keyboard.

Cons: Keyboard and touchpad feels horrible.
I don't see where the SSD is.

Other Thoughts: Don't spend $700+ on it. It only worth about $500.

2 out of 5 eggsBEWARE!!!

Pros: Aluminum casing, backlit keys, stable. Works great with win7pro. Looks sleek and sturdy

Cons: Screws were not even tightened inside! makes me think of shoddy craftsmanship and worry about what other problems may unfurl. (windows 8 stinks) Hard drive stopped working. (working now, read below)

Other Thoughts: After 7 mos. the hard drive up and disappeared. After wrestling around with it, I decided to try and hook the drive up to another computer to (try to) retrieve my data. Upon pry up the keyboard (step one of actually opening it I found 4 screws no fastened at all. FOUR! After taking off the back plate, I discovered the source of the odd rattling sound (I thought it might have something to do with the fan or HDD) Another loose screw, this one rolling around. It ended up that the SATA cable had come loose from the main board; reseat the connector, Tighten the screws that were in there, fasten all the others, and walla! It's working again. Still, loose screws inside? Unacceptable craftmanship. The blue plastic on the side of the screw that holds it tight wan't even marred. I have not ever dropped this and I have a great supporting case. I am lucky with a screw rolling around inside that all that was wrong was a loose connector.

2 out of 5 eggsNeeds repair within 6 months

Pros: Looks nice with affordable price.

Cons: Wifi doesn't work from time to time. There's a big black dot appearing on screen after about 5 months use. Trying to find the warranty info on but it's really confusing. Windows 8 is not user friendly......

4 out of 5 eggsGood Laptop for the money

Pros: Inexpensive. Backlit keyboard is nice, as well as the number pad on the side.

Cons: Windows 8 is for 8th grade girls looking for the next "app" to download. Windows 8 is terrible. But that's not Lenovo's fault. My only complaint about the computer so far is the plastic cover surrounding the keyboard keeps popping up.

Other Thoughts: People are sure complaining about it being cheap, or a bad product. The reality is that it's a $500-600 laptop, not a $2,500 Mac. Get over it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected from an Ultrabook

Pros: I liked the large touchpad on this laptop and the fact that the keyboard was backlit

Cons: The laptop was poorly constructed. The keyboard flexes when you type and they have made the keys too small in order to fit the 10-key keypad. Also, the battery only lasted about 3 hrs for me while doing web-browsing (not even close to the 6 hrs advertised). I used the laptop for a week before it began crashing on me.

Other Thoughts: I was really intruiged by the concept of the ultrabook. I purchased this laptop thinking I was getting a great deal on a high quality, ultra portable laptop. All I was planning on using it for was Microsoft Office and web browsing. After using this for two weeks I was extremely disappointed and I am switching to Apple.

3 out of 5 eggsLove the notebook, hate Win 8

Pros: Very nice Notebook PC. Love the backlit display.

Cons: Hate Win 8. I've been using PCs since my first dual floppy DOS IBM in the 80's. Worked at Microsoft as a vendor '95-2000, and loved what they did up to Win 7.
Now I hate the Win 8 interface, advertising, and inability to get work done.
How can I downgrade to Win 7? Then I will be happy again.
