4 out of 5 eggsDope Laptop

Pros: This laptop is everything it says it is, a powerhouse stuffed into a 15.6" laptop. The build is really sturdy and the keyboard is perfect (and pretty!).

Cons: Track pad feels cheap and rather poor, could use major improvements, a mouse is a must. The battery life is short (1.5-2 hours) but that is expected when purchasing a laptop designed for power, not efficiency.

Other Thoughts: Perfect for college students seeking powerful laptops for performance heavy applications (such as digital arts and graphic design) !! Great bang for your buck.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so great

Pros: This thing is FAST. I love the keyboard, they almost feel like mechanical keys. Mabye they are? They don't seem too small to me. The touchpad also doesn't bother me as it has bothered other people. You can change all the settings on the touchpad.

I did swap the internal 1TB drive for a Samsung 840 256gig and uninstalled ExpressCache. Before I did that, I was surprised how fast it booted with the 5400rpm HDD/24gig SSD. The internal SSD is a separate drive and its an NGFF slot which may someday have some really amazing SSDs available... but for now you can't really get anything else in that NGFF slot. I opted to keep mine in just for 24 gigs of extra random storage space. I did a performance test on the 24gig cache and got 265mb seq. read and 65mb seq. write. Not as fast as the 840, but still okay.

The "ultrabay" works with any of those cheap 9.5mm Sata adapters but it will NOT look nice because they don't have the same bezzle. There's a little plastic piece required if you want it to lock in. Removing the ultrabay is easy, but requires the battery to be taken out.

I've only done some casual gaming on it, but so far so good. Doesn't get that hot, nor that loud.

Cons: Fingerprints... oh my fingerprints everywhere!

bloatware... wow that's a lot of bloatware. Spent my first hour with this thing uninstalling.

This is a nitpick, but I don't like that the numlock/capslock lights are next to the HDD/power lights. Clean and simple look but I miss my acer which had lights integrated into the keys.

Other Thoughts: to remove the backplate to access internal harddrive/ngff slot/ram takes 9 screws and a bit of faith.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Laptop

Pros: Great Performance, playing BF3 on Ultimate @45-50 fps
Great Screen
Good Keyboard
Lightweight Unlike Other Laptops with similar specs
Plenty of Storage
Touch pad works well
Windows 8 Install works well out of box (Work in retail, see a lot of other Windows 8 machines with messed up installs out of box)

Cons: Not really cons, just warnings. Mine shipped with SLI disabled, so had to enable that to get full potential, also cards are heavily under clocked when not on AC power, so don't expect too much on-battery gaming.
M2 SSD not really upgradable

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Lappy

Pros: Very fast, quiet and beautiful display. Comes with a Blu-Ray multi bay drive.

Cons: Keys on keyboard are smaller (shift, numpad 0, backspace) so typing takes a little getting used to with this keyboard. Ton of bloatware.

Other Thoughts: Had the laptop for about a day and am very impressed with it. Bright and colorful display, outstanding power and dual graphics. It does come with a Blu-Ray drive, but the box that the drive comes in only says DVD on it, but there are Blu-Ray symbols on the drive itself.

Ran Diablo III with everything on high and it was smooth as glass. It ran RIFT on super high settings as well, but the frame rates dropped just a little with Anisotropic Filtering maxed.

Boot times from cold to login screen are stupid short, less than twenty seconds or so.

Very pleased with the performance of this laptop so far. Very good bang for the buck and among the best values in gaming laptops at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!

Pros: This thing is blazing fast. I put in a 256GB Corsair SSD in it and it's the fastest computer I've ever used hands down. I ran a Final Fantasy XIV benchmark and scored 17580 which was rated Extermely High. It should play most games at maximum quality (you have to enable SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel.) My windows experience score is a 7.6 (i loaded in Windows 7 because I don't like Windows 8) When you take out the second graphics card, it defaults to the switchable graphics. The Intel HD Graphics 4600 shows up and you can use either that or the Geforce 750gt.

Cons: Laptop get's hot while playing games
Touchpad has no physical buttons. PLEASE start adding them back.

Other Thoughts: The speakers are good but It depends on what you compare them to. They sound much better than a laptop under $700. Treble is clear and midrange is decent. It could kinda use a subwoofer on the bottom but the speakers are pretty loud. My old Toshiba P505 had better sounding speakers than this but these speakers sound good.

The screen is probably the brightest screen I've ever purchased in a laptop. It has awesome contrast and nice color and awesome viewing angles. I have zero complaints about the screen and I'm glad it's a matte one and not a glossy one. The LCD bezel at the top is a little chunky and it definitely takes away from the looks. It almost looks like they could have fit a 16" LCD in this but I'm not too worried about that. The LCD bezel is glossy and attracts dust as well but it's really not a big deal. he keyboard is awesome. I had a Lenovo G780 before this so I got used to that keyboard which is the same as this one but this one is backlit. It has three settings, dim, bright and off. You can toggle it by pressing Fn and Spacebar. The keys don't sag and you will definitely be happy with it.

The most annoying thing is the Touchpad. At this price, why in the world do they not put seperate physical buttons on the thing. The mouse movement on the pad is prefect, but when you click a lot of the time it moves the mouse and you miss the clicks. This is the only thing about this laptop that REALLY bothers me. I use a wireless trackball to make up for the Touchpad woes.

The battery is not enough for the laptop and I get around an hour and thirty minutes to two hours on high brightness. I wish they would have provided a larger capacity battery for it. To pull the bottom bezel off you have to take out nine screws and pry off the bottom. It's a pain to get off the first few times but ends up being easier to take off each time. You can access the wireless card, ram, cpu fan, and hard drive slot from there. The SSD is in an NGFF slot which is the next standard for SSD's in laptops so there really aren't too many larger SSD's that fit in that slot right now. It is used as cache to speed up the system, but I formatted mine and use it to back up my drivers and some other important files.

The finish and build quality are very good. The brushed metal is really nice looking and sturdy. I have no complaints with it and all my friends love the laptop. I hope this helps all of you decide on whether to purchase or not purchase this, but you will not be disappointed if you get this over, let's say, an MSI or Asus.
