4 out of 5 eggsLenovo S400 Pentium 2127U

Pros: I've had it for almost 3 weeks now and no real issues to report. Love the 14" size, its very light, and despite being a 1.9 dual core Pentium, its still pretty fast. For 350 I don't think it gets much better than this.

Cons: The only real problem that I have with it is that its a bit flimsy. Its very thin which is good and bad but you can bend and tilt it with the slightest gesture. That being said I recommend getting a proper laptop backpack if you're going to be traveling. Also, I don't believe you can upgrade the memory to 8GB but I haven't verified that yet. I need to look into it.

Other Thoughts: The pros definitely outweigh the cons. That may honestly be due to the 350 dollar price tag, however for a 14", its a great bargain and it works great so far. Overall, I would recommend buying it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for what it is.

Pros: For the price its hard to find a better unit that has all of the features included in this laptop. Having both a I3 and a touch screen in one inexpensive package was great and then finding it in a light weight 14" laptop was even better for me considering as a student i carry it around with me daily.

Cons: The battery life on it leaves a little to be desired but i still usually get about 2 and half to 3 hours depending on what i'm doing. It is lacking a CD drive as well which in the current digital age we live isn't all that big a deal just thought it was worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: I did have some problems with the touch screen of the mine when i bought it at first it would just some times not respond then it got to the point where it would never respond. I called lenova support and ended up sending it in and got it back in about a week and have had the laptop for 3 months since then with no issues.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than I thought

Pros: The laptop itself is really nice. The touch screen is very responsive and I haven't run into any bugs with the touch function. It's very light and easy to carry around. It's pretty fast for a tiny laptop like this, and can even run a few games (but on very low setting)

Cons: Like another user said, the soft keys of the keyboard make it somewhat difficult to type correctly. I miss a key here and there sometimes, but that might just be me.
The windows 8.1 update took HOURS to complete, that was the one frustrating thing about setting this up.

Other Thoughts: Great deal, bought it for 350 and no real qualms about it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Travel Touchscreen unit

Pros: Touchscreen, form factor, price, newegg service, decent battery like, Pentium CPU is more than enough (I used a 10% coupon so I paid $387)

Cons: The keyboard is little soft compared to a Thinkpad (but this is not a thinkpad). Windows 8 is a little flaky with touch, make sure you do the 8.1 update

Other Thoughts: Overall nice unit, feels good. I have a U310 that was more expensive and feels just like this one. I have owned 4 Lenovo Notebooks, and never had a service issue like the one mentioned by previous reviewer, if anything I have had a great experience, when they could not fix my U310 hinge, they replaced the whole unit with a Flex 14.

1 out of 5 eggsworst imaginable warranty service

Pros: Very nice lightweight computer.

Cons: My biggest mistake was not buying it from Newegg, because they would have taken care of me.
It had some problems brand new, so I called customer service at Lenovo, wound up talking to people in the Philippines, and sent it to their repair depot in Grapevine TX. After 4 weeks, it came back with many things broken. Totally worthless now. Sent it back again, and it has been over 3 weeks, and still nothing. I keep calling and they promise to call back but do not.

They have almost had it longer than me. This is not right, they obviously can not fix it. They owe me a new machine. What awful service. I have never had such a problem in my life. I will never ever buy anything Lenovo again. And on top of that, it has been in the news that they have a chip in them that allows people to hack into the machine.

Other Thoughts: I should have bought something else, and I have learned my lesson and will only buy from Newegg.
