4 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: Long battery life
64gb
Light & Fast
Full Windows 8.1

Cons: More of a wish list than Con.
Aspect ratio to a less rectangle would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Background on products I own/use:
Surface RT
Dell Venue 8 Android
Dell venue 8 Pro
iPad latest generation

This tablet is by far the best tablet I have owned, period. I really don't understand the previous review "why bother" as none of what was presented is accurate for me.
In particular, this tablet pairs with my entire network without issue. It found my printer and worked flawlessly I can stream to and from my tablet with ease. In a hotel I can hook up with then mini-HDMI with no problem. I can also cast my screen on supported TV's.

I can install full Windows software so the App catalogue isn't an issue. And the App marketplace isn't that bad anyway. Kind of like cable TV, you may have a million channels but all you really use are a select few.

Performance, fluid touch, boots in seconds (much faster than Android or iPad, fast enough you can just shut down to save battery). I would not run CAD or Photoshop or such but then those are not something you would run on a tablet let alone an iPad. I have Steam installed and play Walking Dead without issue. Tablet does not get hot and play is fluid. Of course it would not be suited for more graphic intense games. Movies look great! Streaming is great (dependent on your network).

For me, 64gb is a minimum for running full Win 8.1. That was my only complaint with the Dell Venue Pro.

Build quality is good. I did buy the extended warranty and a slim case due to some of the review. Not sure if I will need it as I am pretty careful with my items.

Best yet, I bought this tablet for less than the Dell. If you can get this tablet on sale, check it out. It is worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy even both with a tablet?

Pros: Portability, battery life, resolution

Cons: Accessibility, apps, speaker volume.

Other Thoughts: I've been a windows user for 12+ years now. Bought a windows tablet because I saw it as a cheaper alternative to the iPad and others. Nevermind; the tablet is not intuitive at all, the apps are generally terrible, pairing anything to your home PC is more a pain than doing so with other OS tablets, and other problems. If it's easier to pair media up to a Windows PC with an Apple OS tablet than a Windows tablet, you have problems. Maybe MS will figure it out in the next decade; I'm not hopeful.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Built to Travel, takes a beating
Great features, full size USB, HDMI Video, MicrosUSB Card for expansion (I use a 32GB card!)
Very good camera, I never thought I'd be one of those "tablet video geeeks" but, well its really incredible.
Add on "Classic Shell" to turn this into a Windows 7 tablet and you've got it all..

Cons: Best to charge on the optional "docking port", but will last 10+ hour of use anyway.

Other Thoughts: This is really a "Business class" devise, if your going to get a "tablet" get this one!

5 out of 5 eggsthinkpad tab2 review

Pros: I picked up this exact model because dont need the gobe 4000 i have a phone that provides a hot spot i encourage people to go on line and review the durability test on these units they may be thin but they are super tough i also purchased with it a 64gb scan disc and the dock which charges it very fast i use a 50in tv in my office for my second monitor with no problems i get a full day of use every day out of it the battery life is unbelievable there is a ton of very cool features built on far to many to list here plus i have windows phone and they work seamless together i would but this unit again with out question i have to say this as a disclaimer i have very high tech knowledge there were a few hiccups here and there which i had no problem taking care of all of which i will describe below.

Cons: this unit is sensitive near magnets i had it in a leather case with a Bluetooth keyboard when i bought it and there were magnets all around ot to keep ot closed and the keyboard on place that caused it to npt turn on and it would turn off at random normally as soon as o put it in the case there was no work around for it i simply bought another case there were also a lot of updates that needed to be done both Lenovo drivers from there website which is very easy to use and a ton of windows updates going from 8.0 - 8.1and the unit worked spotty until it was brought up to date now i will say Lenovo has great tech support over the phone and it os right here on the us in Georgia and they give you the number when you buy it also the warranty is great none of which l needed to use just thought i would mention it i did not remove any eggs for this because thats just computers

Other Thoughts: The thinkpad line has always been at the top of its game as afar as tablets go this is the best one on the market unless your an IOS fan
i ran a pilot program at work and bought several different models other then thinkpad but all in the lenovo line and there are so many more features on this model (thinkpad2) there are a ton different models of this thinkpad 2 look up (TTCBOOK/THINKPAD2/LENOVO) to see the difference some are 32bit some are 64bit some have windows pro (so if you want bit locker and domains) some have NFC chip some have the Gobi 4000 so if you need 4G some have GPS for maps like mine that dont require a network connection there is also the TCP CHIP and the built in security encase it gets stolen some come with a digitizer pen and very important the thinkvantage software only on the thinkpad line of products there is also a full size usb port very important for a tablet due to storage limitations on all tablets there is also an hdmi port on this tablet which very nice because unlike dvi and vga HDMI carries sound so one cord does it all when hooking to a larger monitor for presentations and such i could keep going but i think you get the jist

1 out of 5 eggsCool tablet, bad build

Pros: The tablet is great, the stylus works very well. Love that it has full Windows 8.

Cons: Upon arrival the wireless was not working and drivers and restore did not solve the problem. Seems these tablets from Newegg have serious quality control issues. Are they selling a bad lot?

5 out of 5 eggsVery satisfied

Pros: Thin, light, fast boot, LONG BATTERY LIFE IN USE!
Windows with non-mobile browser, so browser supports websites that still use Flash, unlike iOS or Android browsers.

Cons: none that affect my use

Other Thoughts: This is the format in which the touch-screen aspect of Windows 8 shines. :)
I bought this a month ago "on sale" for 10% more than the current sale price -- today's price makes it even more attractive.

5 out of 5 eggsThinkpad Tablet 2 36795MU

Pros: Bought this unit as "shell shocker" special. What a tremendous bargain! Battery life is excellent at 10+ hours. Cold boot for windows 8 32 bit is about 8 seconds.
The unit is solidly built, and VERY light and portable (1.25 lbs). The available thinkpad 0B47109 Tablet 2 Dock stand has a street price of $85 and connects all cords to the dock base unit, and provides additional ports. Thus, with the press of a button on the dock, the unit can be instantly removable for portable use. Performance of Windows 8 32-bit is very fast, and, in many instances, is more compatible with 16-bit XP software than win 7. When unit is "off", there is NO loss of battery power. When "on" button is pressed, the unit boots in about 8 seconds. (I timed it!). The included digital pen works perfectly, and hand-writing note taking is flawless. Finger touch also works great! I found the 64 GB SSD drive to be perfectly adequate. About 35 GB is available for programs. I added a 64 GB micro flash
card for storage of PDF's, and data files. Formatted NTFS, the typical access time is virtually instant to the files and the programs on the micro card. MPG2 movie video files play perfectly. The 10.1" screen and extremely light (1.25 lbs) weight makes this unit a superb portable device. There is a separate power input plug, (the battery charger is included), a full size usb 2.0 plug input, and an external hdmi video output plug. My unit came with Microsoft Office 2013 - included and installed! I added "startisback" and the start tab is virtually the same as win 7. (Cost = two bucks per computer.) In conclusion, I LOVE THIS COMPUTER. Combined with the sale price, the digital pen writing capability (plus finger touch), included Microsoft Office 2013, and the available docking station option, this unit has performed perfectly as my desktop replacement, at a steal of a price

Cons: None thus far!

Other Thoughts: Most reviews on the internet give this computer between 4.5 - 5 stars. Thus, If You have any doubts about the unit, read the many reviews on other websites!

2 out of 5 eggsConsumer Grade at Best

Pros: Full blown Windows computer. Atom CPU is good on the battery.

Cons: Slow, takes hours to charge. FRAGILE. FRAGILE.

Other Thoughts: Mine arrived with defects and would lockup and then crash. It would restart and had video anomalies. The video would sometimes put lines on the screen. Restarting would fix it but I sent it in for repairs.

After having it back for a week I dropped it lightly, it was in a case but a few vertical lines appeared. Sent it in for service and was told that it can be fixed for $700.

This is supposed to be a business quality device but it is poorly made. The construction is not as good as an ipad, Surface RT, Surface Pro, Nexus 7, or Galaxy tab device. This would be a poorly made Lenovo idea line product.

As a business product, which the Lenovo Think line claims to be this is too poorly made. The back is thin plastic and doesn't provide ample support or rigidity. The glass is what keeps this thing flat. Any pressure even just on top of it, compromises this device.

Don't expect this to last long. I have never broken a phone, tablet or laptop. This device lasted me 7 weeks.
