4 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: Pros are simple. It has a fast processor good amount of ram and a huge harddrive. Not to mention a touch screen. Its a lot of computer for the money. So far I'm happy with it. I do miss my old MacBook pro, but that was a 1800 dollar laptop when new. So not really fair to compare the two. My mac died on me and shelling out 1400 bucks or so for a MacBook pro this close to Christmas just wasn't in the cards. I almost just picked up a cheap chrome book to get me by for a couple months. After finding this guy for a couple hundred bucks more then a chrome book I figured I'd go ahead and get a real laptop. Glad I did cause as far as I can tell this will do everything I need it to do.

Cons: The keyboard does flex some. The track pad is a touchy some times. It likes to jump to the bottom of the page when you try to school down slowly. Honestly though this could be windows since my MacBook pros pad worked flawless in OS X but it was also a little flaky in windows. Built in battery could be a problem for some. I'm able to plug in 95% of the time so the battery isn't a huge concern for me. If you depend on it not being able to just slap a new one in could be a big negative. It runs on windows.

Other Thoughts: I paid 130 bucks less then what its going for at the time of this review. At the price I paid this laptop was a great deal. For its current price Its still a nice computer, but I'm not sure I would be as happy with it as I am.

5 out of 5 eggsUnderrated

Pros: 1TB storage, 8GB RAM, Win 8 soon to be 8.1, nothing to dislike about this laptop. Great form factor. Touch screen is spot on, keyboard is accurate and feels great. Those who complain about the flex of the keyboard must type with anger. It isn't a hard keyboard but it doesn't flex like some exaggerate.

Lenovo didn't load this up with crapware - maybe its because it was refurbished. No junk installed other than 1 or 2 apps.

Cons: A bit heavy at 5 lbs so it can't compete with some of the higher end ultrabooks. But you also won't find an ultrabook with 1TB of storage for an affordable price.

As for the infamous touch pad - it does suck, but if you go to the Lenovo website and download the Jan 2013 update it fix some of the issues with inconsistency.

Other Thoughts: You cannot beat the specs and quality of this machine for the price Newegg is offering. Mine may be refurbished, but it looks and acts brand new. No complaints here

4 out of 5 eggsgreat laptop. fast and study

Pros: Great processor, 8 GB ram, and nice touch screen. What's not to like.

Cons: Touch pad kinda difficult to use. Clicks when I don't want to.and weird gestures but that may be win 8. Non removable battery, 5400 hdd. Switched it for a ssd already though. Boot time 10 seconds.
