4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice laptop

Pros: Great value. I would say one of the best buy laptops in its class. It is powerful and has a nice design.

Cons: Video card & display is not that great. They could have made the screen a little bigger.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great laptop for the price. I would highly recommend it.

1 out of 5 eggsPaperweight. Newegg disapoints and costs me money.

Pros: Great price for what it is!

Cons: What it is is a $500 paperweight. Newegg shipped it to the wrong address and also sent it without a power chord OR adapter. I had to cover the shipping cost to the correct address (across the country) and by the time it got there we had surpassed the 30 day guarantee. Newegg was contacted and says that sometimes it happens and they don't have anything for me. They found a power chord in their warehouse, though! So we're getting that. 8 hours of phone time later I am having to purchase a power adapter on my own.

But I guess the shipping costs, my precious time, and the cost of a power adapter might be worth it in Newegg's eyes for the savings? I've never had this much of a problem with Newegg and am extremely disappointed in them.

Other Thoughts: Haven't been able to turn it on but I'm sure it's a decent product. Also as I am typing this I have been hung up on by the Lenovo representative who was supposed to take my money for a power adapter...

3 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: Lightweight, extremely portable, quality build and feel, different poses are useful. Full windows 8 - you can do anything,

Cons: Im not really sure what the reason is, whether is the hardware or windows 8, but its not quite as fast as id like. especially when compared to tablets, I get lag sometimes when doing basic internet stuff. But its not that bad. Ill live.
Second, the screen isn't that high of resolution. That doesn't bother anyone else, so I wouldn't count it as a con for most people. But its the same resolution as an ipad for example, so it just depends on your preferences.

Other Thoughts: For the price, its a good deal. That's why I give it 4 stars. If I had paid 800 for it, i would be less satisfied. The yoga 2 pro looks like this except better, but its pretty pricey. I think its a pretty impressive looking little machine, and does everything you need it to.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid laptop

Pros: Only had it for one day, but it feels very fast and smooth. Screen is great! Looks incredibly sharp.

Cons: Camera is rough. Took a couple of test pictures and it was very grainy. Totally sub-par.

Comes with Windows 8. I really prefer 8.1, but the upgrade process takes forever. It's essentially a new install and then a lot of Lenovo post install bloat that makes the process take forever.

Other Thoughts: It's a little heavy/cumbersome when used as a tablet.

After upgrading to 8.1 you have to remember to blow out the old install or you'll be pretty short on storage space.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Nice size, attractive, sturdier than expected, touchscreen, I5 CPU and SSD

Cons: Camera doesn't work after 8.1 upgrade. I've used the lastest lenovo drivers.

Other Thoughts: Excellent price / value ratio !!!

4 out of 5 eggsgreat pc supplement

Pros: -Portable
-Runs steam games
-Ram is easy to upgrade
-it flips into a tablet!

Cons: -runs hot
-when in tablet mode sounds sometimes comes in garbled/video takes longer to load
-rarely, but enough that i've noticed, waking into tablet mode or switching from laptop to tablet quickly will leave the keys/mouse activated in tablet mode

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a laptop to supplement my PC - i.e. a laptop that I can use when i'm away from my home gaming PC. This laptop is perfect for my needs. I was constantly not sure if I should just get a tablet or go for a full laptop and this is the perfect in-between.

The yoga gimmick is actually pretty neat! When I need the keyboard I use it as a laptop, when i'm reading, i use it either in tablet or stand mode, and i've also found that when my desk gets cramped, the presentation mode actually comes well into play.

Battery life is kind of dissappointing - only about 4 hours on a full charge. I was hoping for at least 6 hours, but i can never get that unless i have the brightness all the way down and use the laptop for light use. Having said that, I've played Dark Souls for about 2 1/2 hours on a single charge, which is nice considering its not a gaming pc.

I saw a lot of complaints about the tablet mode because you can feel the keys in the back - this has never bothered me, I actually like the keys back there, they don't mess with whatever i'm doing and I enjoy playing/pressing them while I hold the tablet (just a kinesthetic pleasure)

As for gaming. This is NOT a gaming laptop. There is no dedicated gpu so no hardcore gaming. Having said that, I still am able to play games from my steam library at the lowest setting. So far i've been playing Dark Souls, TF2, Left for Dead 2, Dead Island, and Enslaved, each one plays well at 30fps/lowest settings. It takes some getting used to but its actually not too bad (at least theres no lag 95% of the time)! Its not anywhere near as good as my computer at home, but I can't exactly take my PC with me when I'm sitting on an airplane for 6 hours straight or in a hotel room so this laptop is a big help.

lastly, the specs aren't the greatest but there is room for upgrade, specifically the RAM and SSD. Opening this thing is a nightmare, around 20 screws just to get to the RAM/SSD, but it IS possible, theres only 1 slot for RAM so I went from 4gb to 8gb, also went for a lower voltage (which gives me about 20mins on battery). SSD is near RAM and easy to pull out but getting a small form factor SSD over 120gb wasn't worth my time/money so I left it alone.

TLDR: This laptop is great for what it is, a hybrid tablet/laptop. This is defintely not a PC replacement but works great to supplement what you have at home and for on the go use. I defintely recommend buying this as a portable laptop/tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding little machine!

Pros: Lightweight, small. Surprisingly quick boot time. Doesn't run games at all- come on, it's an ultrabook! Touch screen snappy and responsive.

Cons: Display somewhat dim, even at max brightness, compared to other laptops.

Other Thoughts: Love it, performs exactly as expected. Getting a hard case, keyboard cover and screen protector in the mail, recommend the same for anyone else purchasing this product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Gift, Awesome Ultrabook

Pros: The display is nice and crisp, it meets and surpasses all of my expectations in terms of performance. Updating to Windows 8.1 has made it seem less foreign (first computer with Windows 8). The keyboard is comfortable and the touchscreen and mousepad are very responsive. Battery seems very good, although I haven't used it on battery for more than a few hours at a time.

Cons: None that I have found so far.

Other Thoughts: The only thing I really don't like is the buttons on the mousepad. They aren't separated from the rest of the pad and they act just like the rest of the pad. It's not a flaw or anything to really call a con, just a personal preference.
