5 out of 5 eggsa 2nd look

Pros: love it. No bloatware, so clean. Fluidity makes this a fave thanks to quad core & SSD. Very fast. Great battery life, sturdy (made it through an accidental downpour, internal wet spots gone, no performance issues yet, happened months ago, don't try this at home kids). More interested in Lenovo after first time purchase

Cons: lack of bass, Dolby interface via settings is great but not quite useful, weak antenna, occasionally dropped WiFi connection

Other Thoughts: can't believe that I actually hated this tab at first. Used to my old devices. I've had it for months now. Lack of bass is disappointing but the crisp sweet treble makes up for this somehow. Can only find apps for headphones to improve bass issue. Sounds great on the home sound system, almost better than connected laptop which is a good entertainment laptop. Weak antenna but wifi extender is worth waiting for 2-3 minutes after plugging in when using the tab out of the router range. After using this for awhile, I give it a 5 despite some Cons. Give me a device that doesn't have a Con or 2, I'll be surprised. Wouldn't trade this tablet for anything.

5 out of 5 eggsWell made

Pros: Good battery, quick speed, kickstand, runs apps well.

Very useful as a desktop appliance for email, messages, notifications, chats, and as a contact manager (rolodex).

Also useful for electronic books.

If using an inexpensive bluetooth audio receiver plugged in to your stereo amplifier, the tablet can beat the fidelity of any pc sound card and does wireless bluetooth music at up to about 20 feet.

Surprisingly high quality construction!

Cons: Doesn't scan QR codes (which is not important because you'll probably not have this in your pocket anyway).
Big size tablet is extraordinarily NOT portable, or rather just about exactly as portable as carrying a glass tray or framed photo around--wishing I had bought an 8" or smaller version.
Rear camera quality is very bad (and not important for a desktop appliance anyway).
With the aggressive power saving, the screen won't stay on for very long at a time, even if plugged in (settings of 30 minutes + "detect user" minimizes the problem).
Web based Flash content cripples web surfing functionality on most Android devices.

Other Thoughts: Well, the reason to get this is to run android apps at your desk.

And, you'll be needing a few to start with, like Nova Launcher (or go launcher ex), ES File Manager, ES Task Manager, Startup Manager, which are all utilities for functionality.

There is also the trouble of adding flash manually (to use with web sites), since it doesn't come preloaded on android and isn't well supported either.

After having purchased and used the 10" tablet for some time, I've got to say that it makes a wonderful email reader, book reader and mp3 player, thus unnecessarily duplicating functions that I already had.

So, if I was asked why someone needed a 10" tablet or ipad, I'd be hard pressed to say what it was good for. But, if you must have one anyway, the Lenovo Yoga 10 is well made and works well too.

4 out of 5 eggsEggcellent Tablet

Pros: Purchase for Wife's anniversary, but was on a budget.

Wife wanted a 10" tablet, but the Samsung which would be Android config to her SG3 was way more than I would like to pay.

This tablet has been near effortless for the wife to use. She has been able to use it with minimal support as well.

The kickstand idea is very handy and useful. Makes the tablet easier to grasp at times as well

Cons: In the back of the tablet, the plastic feels a little thin as the body will feel like it collapses slightly to the touch.

Other Thoughts: Lenovo needs to push these tablets more so people are aware of them, but then they would charge more for them.

2 out of 5 eggsNot for serious computing

Pros: None

Cons: Primarily a child's toy. I bought this thing to help track my medical accounts and test results. It will not allow me to download the required app or even log into my medical accounts'

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: First tablet experience. Picture image is really nice, camera pretty good, surfing and touch screen excellent

Cons: Doesn't do well when dropped on corner. It tends to break the screen. I consider it a user issue. : (

5 out of 5 eggsLove this tablet!

Pros: Once we discovered "The Features Guide" App using it has mostly been a dream.

Cons: Only con I have to report is mostly about my not remember where I turn on the feature that allows the screen to change orientation when I turn it 180 or 360 degrees. I think that's called an operator malfunction.

3 out of 5 eggsOverpriced (at the moment)

Pros: Nice display, excellent battery life, decent performance.

(developer support: Windows ADB drivers are included with the tablet)

Cons: No 5Ghz wifi support, no multiple user account support.

(developer support: the presence of Windows ADB drivers is not documented; it takes some web searching to discover that they are exposed via the "CD-ROM" storage mode for the USB connection).

Other Thoughts: When I bought this, I was able to take advanage of a (temporarily) reduced price, as well as an extra instant-rebate. Net cost to me was $200, which I think is a good price for this tablet. At the current near-$300, there are much better choices available.

Lenovo advertises Jelly Bean's multiple user account support on their web site, and of course advertises this device as using Jelly Bean, but they have inexplicibly disabled that Jelly Bean feature on this device!

The tablet has 802.11n support, but only on 2.4Ghz networks. It does not work on a 5Ghz-only network! IMHO this is inexcusable for a tablet advertised as supporting 802.11n. Yes, it's within spec, but the advertised specifications should specifically state it's 2.4Ghz-only.

The battery life is excellent, as one would imagine in a tablet with a long tube running down one side where a large (9000mAh) battery can live. The kickstand feature is useful, but the tradeoff is that the tablet simply can't lie flat, ever, which is a bit awkward at times.

This device definitely compares favorably to other Android devices I've used. But I still prefer my Microsoft Surface RT: it has a nicer display, better wifi support, the "touch" cover is a great way to combine protection and keyboard in a single feature, and of course the full Windows experience complete with multiple user accounts (a critical feature for devices used in a household and shared by its members). But naturally, you pay more for all that.

If you can get this unit at $200, I think you will be very satisfied with the value for the money. Otherwise, look closely at the competitors at higher price points, where you may find a more competent tablet for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsBest tablet yet

Pros: This is my fifth Android tablet and I have a lot of experience with the iPad Air. This is the best tablet I have used to date. It is smooth and fast with great battery life. The kickstand is a great feature. The on off switch is much easier to find than on Samsung tablets. Sound is actually loud enough to hear but forgood quality sound you will still need ear phones.

Cons: This tablet is very thin. I am afraid if I dropped it, it would break. I have ordered a nice leather case .
I miss the App icon that is on the Samsung Galaxy and Acer tab. Maybe I just don't like change.

Other Thoughts: I would be interested in what others think about the navigation on this tab without the app tab.
I highly recommend this tablet.
