how pink is it?

i dont think you could say it was pink at all. i would say it was more of a really light pink with gold or something. its a very neutral color, i asked my brother to help classify the color he said a really light silver almost gray with a slight pink tint. lets just say its enough not pink for me to argue to death over it not being pink just in case my friends started to tease me lol

No unfortunately not and I have not tried to use an external dvd player. though It has more than adequate power to play whatever movie at any resolution. the AMD quad core and the 2.5GB dedicated ram along with the AMD Radeon HD 8750M may not be the strongest thing but it is capable of almost every game at close to maxed graphics settings, I would recommend a cooling pad or something. Yes, this computer will run any of those programs.  it is quite capable of running most newer games as well.  Please keep in mind that it does not have an Optical Drive, so programs need to be able to be downloaded or you need to purchase an External Optical Drive.

How well do Steam games run on this computer when it isn't plugged in? Do any games lag when it isn't plugged in?

The WiFi is an Atheros based 802.11n. It has very good range and signal in either battery or AC modes.

The video processor can be set to "high performance" mode while on battery, but it will last about 1 or 2 hours max in this config when running full screen applications. The default mode does sacrifice some performance for longevity, but this isn't meant as a gaming machine.

How well do Steam games run on this computer?

I have not used steam on this computer much, it is my girlfriend's and she plays the sims 3 on it pretty well. She does complain at times about it shutting off without reason (i think that one explaination is the power button is on the side and readily able to be bumped and turn off the computer)

I would say that this can play alot of steam games, but not on high video settings and not with a great fps. the video card is pretty low on the totem pole and the ultrabook-esq processor can struggle at times.

Hello I'm looking for a laptop to play w.o.w on or a desk top and I don't have a huge budget was wondering if this laptop would be able to play w.o.w on high settings?

It works great for wow on second highest graphics settings, but my comp does crash a lot, although not when playing wow.

I see nothing about cd drive? does it come with a cd-rom, burner, or removable usb one?

There is no media drive. You may use an aftermarket USB 2.0 or 3.0 external, however it is not included.

What are the main differences between this and the Aspire V5-552PG-X469? I'm not really seeing any, yet this one is $15-30 cheaper for some reason. (Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=34-314-273)

This page may be some help to you, in short the -x469 is set up for gaming, the -x809 is mainstream computing. I believe that it has to do with the chips on the motherboard that is why there is a price difference. Hope this helps, my daughter love hers.
