2 out of 5 eggsOkay Computer

Pros: Touch screen is great, aesthetically pleasing, light, large screen

Cons: Terrible track pad, responds sometimes and other times it thinks you have two fingers when you only have one, most of the time the left click button does not work, Do not recommend.

2 out of 5 eggsSeemed Like it would be good

Pros: It had a lot of specs built in for the money. I purchased this computer to be something with pretty decent battery life and have some power to it. Something more than a chromebook/netbook but nothing near a desktop replacement.

Cons: Let me start this with the fact that I am an IT student and have been good with computers my whole life. I have had the SAME problem with this computer since the beginning. When I purchased it I noticed there was a weird issue with the left click on the trackpad. I first tried to change some setting to see if I could fix it. No luck. I then went to Acer chat support online and they directed me to re-install the driver. No luck. I contacted them again and they said I had to re-install the operating system. I told the technician that they were wrong and I needed a different solution. They then gave me a "different" driver (which was the same one as the first time) and guess what? No luck. I then took it upon myself to go to the device manager, remove the trackpad, remove the trackpad software, and any other trace of it to reinstall from scratch. No luck. I finally contacted support and told them I need the trackpad replaced. They agreed and I sent it in for a repair. I get the computer back and it is still broken. I send it in again to get it fixed and it is till broken. Both times that I have sent it in the have not replaced any hardware! Now I am at a loss. I guess I will have to send it in again and hope for the best. Thanks Acer for not helping me!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: The machine seems to run quickly, it is handling some pretty hefty applications (I'm a software developer) with ease. The screen is nice, I like the feel of the keyboard - it has a better feel than my older Acer and Asus laptops. The touch screen is responsive -- no issues at all. The battery life seems good.

Cons: The exterior of the case marks up quite easily -- greasy finger prints within the hour. The touch pad is really sensitive to begin with ... it is easy to do things by accident. I got used to it fairly quickly. The inability to create ISO images of the system restore was a bummer, I don't want to have to keep track of a flash drive ...

Other Thoughts: Windows 8.1 is strange if you are stepping up from Windows 7 .... I can't fault the laptop for that but beware, it takes a bit to find your way around.
