3 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: Nice screen size--great for watching videos and playing games. Computer arrived reasonably fast. Decent price for the specifications. Satisfied with the service from NewEgg and AntOnline specifically.

Cons: The main problems I have are with certain hardware issues with the computer and the service from Acer themselves. I myself am a fan of Acer. However, when I received my computer, brand new, out of the box, I noticed a problem of multi-colored pixels flashing on the screen anytime I loaded a game (e.g. League of Legends, FFXIV). The problem was most likely either the graphics card or the motherboard. I installed the newest drivers and updated all relevant software and made sure Acer knew that.

When it came time to ship it back for free repairs, I received it a month later to find out that they had replaced the graphics card and did "tests", yet the same exact problem remained (not sure what these "tests" were). So I contacted them again and sent it back. I received the computer again a month later (2 months after purchase) to see it finally working as they replaced the motherboard in the laptop.

I've owned the laptop for a while now and some things still act up such as the keyboard (buttons do not read well sometimes), the USB ports (cause strange lags of the mouse sometimes), and sudden power-offs (rare, but it happens). Most of the time, the laptop is fine, but it is frustrating to have spent all that money for a computer that has had so many problems. I've had many laptops/desktops, but none of them have had as many problems as this one.

Finally, while these problems are annoying, I'm just going to assume that these problems were just some unfortunate fluke and that next time will be different. These things can happen.

Other Thoughts: It took a while to get used to, but I'm still not a fan of the keyboard. This is more of a personal preference I suppose. Keys are flat and stationed like Mac keyboards, and I don't care for such keyboards. Now if only I had the money for a better CPU.
