5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: It worked great for what i needed, especially at the refurbished price point. I have been using it for collage classes and some light gaming.

It isn't the best for gaming but most Free to play games you can download will run at medium, While AAA titles can squeeze in a playable frame rate on low to medium settings.

I have been using it for college and has suited me perfectly, it is quite and not overly bulky, its actually quite thin.

Cons: If I had to say something I would say the touch pad isn't what I wanted it to be although i carry a wireless mouse so it doesn't bother me.

Also I knew it when I bought it but I am not a huge fan of 1366x768.

4 out of 5 eggsInternal = Good, Physical = Problematic

Pros: Very thin and light. Runs quickly, Touch screen works well.

Cons: The fan makes a lot of noise, it dies ridiculously quickly, and the mouse pad was sticking up/coming off in one corner when I got it.

Other Thoughts: Overall I like it and the internal specs definitely made the price reasonable.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Nice Keyboard
Decent for price

Cons: Touch screen keeps ghosting (pressing by itself)
Keeps freezing randomly when watching videos or light gaming.
Windows 8
Side power button

Other Thoughts: Overall decent for its price. But not very good for watching videos or gaming. It keeps making this buzzing noise when it freezes and it's not because the laptop is overheating.

5 out of 5 eggsCollege Recommended

Pros: The laptop itself has everything a normal college student would want in a laptop (I am a college student). To make it stand out more than some of the other laptops around, this one has touch screen. Although some might disagree that this is a "pro", I find it very useful in certain situations when my capable hand (right handed) is unable to use the mouse pad and I would have to resort to tapping the screen with my left. Also it is very quiet (even when running games, I have ran dota 2 and hearthstone)

Cons: The only thing that makes this laptop any less than other laptops around would be that it doesn't have the capability of twisting it's neck. Which can be problematic during study sessions, and you're trying to not knock a girl's drink on the floor when showing her something (happened to me)...

Other Thoughts: It's extremely stylish and light.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointment

Pros: Very nice looking computer. The PC had a very nice interface and it's touchscreen capabilities were a very nice touch.

Cons: Very difficult to connect to wifi. Internet speed is very slow.

Other Thoughts: This PC arrived at my house three days ago. I was very excited setting it up and couldn't wait to use it. My excitement was soon put to rest when I tried all night to get wifi working but to no avail. I spent two days with tech support to get the issue resolved almost to the point of the tech support employee saying it might be best to send it back.

We soon fixed the issue but I soon discovered that this laptop is painfully slow, taking almost 30-60 seconds to get some websites to load. I will be sending this laptop back in hopes of finding a suitable replacement. It's upsetting seeing as how this was a very nice looking laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far...totally worth it

Pros: I love the material the body is made of. So far it seems to be easy to keep dust out, feels really solid. Great build. It's light, portable, looks beautiful, and functional for a steal of a price.

Cons: AC Adapter gets quite hot - not hot enough that I can't touch it, but surprisingly hot. It is not name brand (Acer) - it's something else.

Other Thoughts: Came w/WIndows 8.0 which took time to update to 8.1. Froze repeatedly at random times out of the box, could never get more than a 5-10 minute use window before having to shut off and turn on. Easily resolved by updating BIOS - but not everyone will know how to do it.

While not everyone will love the screen, I do. I don't care that it's touch and likely won't use the feature, but I think video looks great and the resolution is just right for my eyes. It's just not HD which isn't a big deal to me.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased So Far

Pros: Surprisingly Thin
Nice looking Touchscreen
No noticeable damage- looks like a new machine
I like the backlit keyboard a lot.

Cons: The battery is internal, not one you can just slip out and replace. This could be an issue if you do a lot of work where you can't be plugged in, or later when the battery begins to lose it's ability to hold a charge

I wish it had more USB 3.0 ports

Other Thoughts: It has windows 8, which is a big change. I like it, but I'm also still getting used to it.

The touchpad is large, and the buttons are not apparent. You CAN click (and right click) with the bottom of the touchpad.

No optical drive.

I'm unsure how to upgrade the RAM. It doesn't have any access panels on the bottom.

4 out of 5 eggsGood For The Price

Pros: Refurbished model came as described.
Great Touchscreen.
Fast performance.
Thin.
Light.
Overall decent enough for the price.

Cons: Only one USB 3 port.
Side Power Button.
1366x768 resolution looks kind of blown up on such a large screen.
Had problems with the WiFi in my model but this was fixed by downloading the latest drivers from Qualcomm and not Acer.
Sigh... Windows 8/8.1
The refurbished model had 2 minor scratches on it.

Other Thoughts: If you want a portable laptop that has high enough performance for day to day tasks with some gaming and maybe some video editing then this laptop is great but it did have its flaws, like my model would only connect to WiFi after installing newer Qualcomm drivers instead of the Acer drivers on the website this was easily fixed by someone like me but someone without technical know how might just send it back.

Quite honestly for the price I picked it up at (479.99) I cant complain its a great notebook that had a bit of start up problems but now is running fine!
