1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY -- BUGGY KEYBOARD

Pros: The size and feel of the laptop are great, and it would be perfect if I just needed to use the touchscreen. They seemed to have focused on an awesome screen with a good UX for using the touchscreen, but the keyboard and touchpad are abysmal. (I'll save that for cons -- honestly no Pro that I could put here can compensate for the hardware Cons)

Cons: I did not see any bad reviews about the keyboard until *after* I put the order in. I read that people were having issues with typing keys and they didn't register, or they would double type. I naively just told myself "hah! newbs! They must be bad at typing".

Well the joke's on me, and I apologize to those other users who were completely correct in their assessment. This keyboard is so bad that I cannot stop asking myself how someone could allow this laptop to be sold to another human being.

Double presses all over the place, even when I start typing VERY DELIBERATELY ONE KEY AT A TIME. Typing on this keyboard has reduced my typing speed from around 90 wpm down to maybe 25-30. As a programmer and terminal user this is also frustrating because I'm constantly writing typos or bad commands. The shift key is particularly off.

Not to leave out the mousepad -- that's also pretty buggy. At first I thought it might be the software/OS, so I booted off a USB into Ubuntu. The problem is just as bad unfortunately. This is a hardware issue, they're not going to be able to fix it with any updates. Just do yourself a favor and stay away.

Other Thoughts: I'm surprised I didn't see any more reviews about this on here. I hope this helps prevent you from making the same mistake as me. I've never had to return a laptop, or even an item from newegg before. This will be my first.
