4 out of 5 eggsWorthy equipment

This review is from: Acer Aspire R7-371T-78XG 2-in-1 Laptop Intel Core i7 4510U (2.00 GHz) 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4400 Shared memory 13.3" Touchscreen Windows 8.1

Pros: Pros include the obvious, screen size, flip top screen, touch screen, etc. I haven't had any problems with the keyboard. SD card reader. I paid more for this because of its speed and ability to work with dense software. In that regards, it works perfectly.

Cons: The mouse is no bueno. It's sticky. It won't let you move around easily and right click on things. It jumps around a little, it won't stay still so you can right click or double click.
The screen resolution isn't the standard, which is really annoying with some webpages.
The touchscreen works well, but sometimes the touch keyboard won't pop up, like when you have the laptop set up like a tent. Sometimes the touch is preferable to the mouse though.

Other Thoughts: I've had the laptop for 8 months now, and I haven't had major problems with it. Mine came with windows 8 and I'm in line for an update, but I haven't heard back yet. Maybe see if you can get the new windows update.

4 out of 5 eggsNice 2-N-1!

This review is from: Acer Aspire R7-371T-78XG 2-in-1 Laptop Intel Core i7 4510U (2.00 GHz) 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4400 Shared memory 13.3" Touchscreen Windows 8.1

Pros: very lightweight, the screen is great and flexibility to switch between tablet, laptop, presentation, collaboration, etc is very useful.

Cons: keyboard is a bit spongy, some keystrokes may get missed. It isn't a huge issue, but just something to note.

Other Thoughts: this is a more costly 2N1, however if you want a good balance between weight, memory, and performance this is great option to consider. Also the company doesn't really advise that they are running 2 solid state drives in RAID0, but that appears to be how this model is configured.

5 out of 5 eggsMakes me happy

This review is from: Acer Aspire R7-371T-78XG 2-in-1 Laptop Intel Core i7 4510U (2.00 GHz) 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4400 Shared memory 13.3" Touchscreen Windows 8.1

Pros: I love the screen on this laptop. A friend said it was great to use on a plane because you can position the screen like and easel for the perfect angle without the seat in front of him limiting the view. I decided to try it for DJing and internet use on the go. I also use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom with it and am very happy with it's performance. I love it. It's lightweight, has a powerful i7 chip with plenty of RAM. Boots and shuts down quicker than my Asus Transformer tablet. I take it everywhere I go.

Cons: The only concern I have about this is that I have to press harder on the keys, than other devices I own, in order to type things. I'm used to barely touching the key and seeing letters and numbers. This requires a clear, distinct press down in the center of the key in order to render characters on the screen.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Acer Aspire R7-371T-78XG 2-in-1 Laptop Intel Core i7 4510U (2.00 GHz) 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4400 Shared memory 13.3" Touchscreen Windows 8.1

Pros: Flip screen. The tablet part is good because you don't have buttons on bottom. It's pretty fast. Lots of space. Good for all my statistical programs. Screen feels like a 15 in though it's 13. It's sturdy. thin.I feel at ease with it. Speakers pretty good. Doesn't feel cheap. I haven't tested it to its fullest capacity.

Cons: The screen resolution took a little getting used to. Windows 8 was actually a bit of a learning curve. most laptops have 8 not 7 but you can put it on there etc. The mouse pad is really really frustrating sometimes, especially when you go back and forth from the touch screen it could be more seamless. The mouse pad is touchy and doesn't hover very well. It could be a muscle memory thing in the fingers. I bought a stylus pen for it and it didnt work not that it won't I just find all the settings confusing on the windows 8. Needlessly so. when laptop shuttle there aren't grippers to open it so it's kind of a game or you need nails. It's comfy though. The screen resolution is not standard so some things look small or odd particularly some fonts. Im used to the numbers pad on the 15 in so I miss that on a 13 inch. P.s. don't buy the next day shipping from newegg. It's a scam. It takes 2 days to process before even sending it. The earliest possible is more like 3 business days not weekends even with next day shipping. They wouldn't give my money back either. Just go basic. You'll get it around the same time.
