1 out of 5 eggsI got a BAIT & SWITCH

Pros: I would say that this would have been very good good my needs since I am looking for a tablet/laptop hybrid and this was VERY close to meeting my requirements.

Cons: Aaargh, I dont even know where to begin!!
Well firstly when my pkg arrived and i looked at it I immediately scratched my head and wondered if i had ordered the wrong thing since the unit I got was a standard laptop screen and not the swivel screen I saw on the website.

1) Next I dutifully charged it up for the min 8hrs (I did 12 hrs) before i started to use it. So after it was (hopefully) charged up and I began to use it (with the power cord still plugged in) I went through the process of doing the windows 7 restore etc. which went ok.
2) So with the windows running ok I decided to configure it to my wifi and decided to use a rosewill usb rnx-n150hg wireless card for this purpose. I plugged out the laptop (hey the reviews did say at least 8 hrs!!) and went though the process of installation and then in the middle of installation I began to hear the unit beeping and when i checked it was showing the Warning LOW BATTERY!! So after less than 15 minutes of running on battery it ran out of juice, and this is from charging for 12 hrs.

Other Thoughts: SO there you have it!!
I got a mini-laptop and not the true x61 with the swivel screen as depicted on the website and even worse that i got a DEAD Battery on top of my troubles.

Oh well, I may as well go get a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 12.2" as I always wanted. At least I know that Samsung makes better stuff plus the battery wont die on my after 15 minutes.... :-(

4 out of 5 eggsReally nice but....

Pros: Clean and functional

Cons: Better deals available...and it's through NEWEGG-ergo, I got taken

Other Thoughts: This is an awesome little computer for the price HOWEVER, I see now that Newegg is offering a core 2 duo with 4 gig ram and windows 7 pro for $30 less than what I paid for this thing. BTW-this one shipped with a Centrino vPro. Installed a Samsung SSD and upped the memory and this thing runs almost as good as one of my much more expensive laptops. Not a bad investment until you find out there's more for less. Thanks Newegg.

1 out of 5 eggsOld just gets older

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Cheap and getting older by the day. First week or two thought it just needed more updates.

Now just shuts down randomly whenever it wants.

Other Thoughts: It's rather upsetting when something shuts down without warning, makes you not even want to turn it on.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great laptop for the money, and the touch screen function takes a bit to get used to using a stylist but is smooth. The transition from laptop to tablet is simple.

Cons: First one came with a DOA battery, after a RMA the new one had no battery issues so far (besides arriving with <5% charge). Only additional complaint is the hinge for the screen, the cover seems to be loose I'll probably pull it apart and see if its a loose screw, it doesnt effect the screen rotation or support more of a visual issue.

Other Thoughts: If you need a laptop quickly I would look at another product, given 3 of the reviewers have had issues with DOA batteries, maybe Newegg or their reseller have fixed this issue, but it was frustrating receiving a defective product. The keyboard was definitely replaced, although the TrackPiont was the original

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop for the price!

Pros: This is a great little laptop for the price. It was clean and in perfect shape. It looks new. Windows 7 runs great even though it only has only 2GB of RAM.
The 100GB hard drive is 7200RPM and it's pretty snappy...
Great for the kids homework and browsing.

Cons: It does NOT have a touchpad... It comes with a TrackPoint which is IBM's old pointer technology. However it is easy to adjust and manipulate.

Other Thoughts: If my memory doesn't fail me, this used to be a $2000.00 laptop. It was like having the Porche of laptops with touch technology in 2007...

3 out of 5 eggsSame as other guy

Pros: Great price for what my sister-in-law needed. Normally I would have recommended a tablet, but she needs to print from this and wireless printing was not an option. She was on a very tight budget and while the tech here is dated, it was by far and away better than what she could have bought for under $200 in the tablet realm. The ability to use this a large touch screen tablet is what caught my eye for what she wanted

Cons: Got it. Plugged in battery and AC cord so I could update W7 while it was charging. EXCEPT, that it didn't charge. Inspected the battery only to find it had a crack in it and it would not charge. Kept getting charge error light blinking. RMA'd it and am waiting for "new" one. I'll get back to you on how it went.

Other Thoughts: Will update

2 out of 5 eggswrong windows key

Pros: Started right up.
In good condition.

Cons: Came with window 7 home installed like it was supposed to, but the activation code was for windows 7 pro and thus 'invalid' every time I try to activate it.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure who to contact about this since the product is refurbished and I'm not sure by who. If someone reads this and can point me in the right direction that would be very helpful.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's fast and boots up quickly. I like Windows 7.

Cons: The last refurbished model I had ended up having a battery problem, so I had to send it back. I am looking forward to this item working better than the last one.

Other Thoughts: Newegg delivered my product very quickly!
