1 out of 5 eggsStop working about 4 weeks.

Pros: Can watch Netflix and youtube when it worked.

Cons: Stop working about 4 weeks using. Don't know why ???

Other Thoughts: I was happy when I used this tablet when it arrived; it's quite fast. But about a month, I turned it on and the tablet just showed the Lenovo logo and then black green. I tried every steps of troubleshooting from Lenovo site, but still out of luck. No more refurbished item purchase from me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet for the money

Pros: Great performance and usage for small budget. Got refurbished for less that 70$ and have not had any problems. Has ran all apps I have downloaded with no problems.

Cons: Battery life is only about 2 hours and screen resolution can be a little off if you don't have it right in front of you. But neither of those are big issues.

Other Thoughts: None. Overall great tablet

5 out of 5 eggsIndeed an A000F model

Pros: Bluetooth, GPS, Nice bright screen. Flawless WIFI. Have installed many, many Playstore apps without a hitch. Excellent stereo forward-facing speakers.

Cons: Could use a contrast setting (apps available for that).

Other Thoughts: I went over to the manufacturers website and ordered the folio case which included screen protector for $ (a Lincoln) at the time of this review. Amazing deal for the entire package.
Very happy....like I just got a puppy : )

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Wireless Connection

Pros: Price
NEWEGG return policy!

Cons: Poor Wireless connection - keeps dropping connection. Tried 2 locations. Drops connection when you laid it flat.

Poor video - reminds me of the older projection TV's. You have a sweet spot in the middle and looks very poor if you just tilt or look at it from the side.

Power supply just dropped in the box and rattling around. POOR PACKING.

Documentation not included - you have to download your own.

Part of another refurb sticker was on the back of the unit. Looks like this one is making the rounds with multiple issues

Other Thoughts: Spend a few bucks more and buy a new tablet, Maybe I got a bad one..... wish others better luck.

1 out of 5 eggsD.O.A.

Pros: None to know, was DOA

Cons: D.O.A.
Have requested RMA from the Egg.
It booted into a System Test and then locked with
"Test Fail System Halt"

This was shipped from Newegg and I would like to think they would have someone check "refurbished" and open box items, but that probably demand too much labor. And I'm sure they expect the vendor to do the job correctly.
For me, I'm sticking with new, even though this has been my only "refurb" purchase. YMMV

5 out of 5 eggsA great little tablet, it does what it does well.

Pros: - Battery life
- Low bloatware
- Responsive in menus and browsing and pretty much in general
- Plays 720p video - mx player with arm v7 neon codec
- Good sound
- Solid construction, it feels like a quality device
- Stable wifi performance so far, which has been a bugaboo of many android devices

Cons: - It doesn't slice bread

Other Thoughts: For the price, it would be hard to beat this. I was coming from a vitalASC tablet that was bought at the same price point about a year ago, and it is a sad sad tablet in comparison to the Lenovo.

For reference, the unit I received is the A1000F unit, which does have GPS and some of the other bells and whistles the base A1000 doesn't have, so I was very pleased about that. I'm not sure if all the refurbs are A1000F's though.

Some people want to ding this tablet because it doesn't have the latest in excessive screen resolution. This screen is just fine, web looks great, videos look good. Most websites are standardized at around 1024 width anyway so they all look good so far.

This tablet was also dinged online because Lenovo originally partitioned the internal memory in such a way that almost nothing could be installed before you maxed it out, I can say fixing this must've been part of the refurb process as my tab shows 2.5 GB available for internal installations and not the 300 MB or so some people were mentioning.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: Since I couldn't see how to update my previous 5 egg review I'm writing this as an update after having the device for 1 month and 1 week

Cons: The screen is now cracked, I did not drop or mistreat the tablet, however we have transitioned from winter to spring in this time (tablet was not left outside, but did travel from home to work with me each day) I suspect the material in the screen was defective causing the screen to crack.
I contacted Lenovo to see about a warranty repair and was told "We consider all cracks in the screen to be due to mistreatment by the end user, a screen replacement is $200" I tried to explain my situation but there was no talking to their rep.

Other Thoughts: Over-all I still consider this a very good tablet, however don't plan on getting any reasonable customer service if you need it from Lenovo.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat tablet. looks new

Pros: Appearance is like new. Fast. Easy to learn and operate. Micro USB charge, matches most phone cords so no need to lug dedicated charger cord. Speakers are great. Price great. Memory is sufficient and latest firmware is already updated. Battery life is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: Not many at this price. Maybe having only a front camera but I use my smaller phone for picture taking anyway. Little heavy, I think because of long battery life and larger battery. Other than that, this tablet is exceptional at this price. I still have a hard time believing it is so inexpensive!

Other Thoughts: All around great buy. Of course newegg rocks as always with selections, packaging, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsGet more than you pay for!

Pros: -Great sound(Really, really great sound!)
-has bluetooth
-Touchscreen is responsive, better than my Hisense Sero 7 which lags when typing.
-This leads me to believe that it uses a higher quality touch interface hardware or something than my Hisense... The Hisense benchmarks much higher in Antutu than this Lenovo but yet still lags when typing...

Cons: -mediocre cpu performance even for this price range.
-This scored much lower than my Hisense Sero 7(Which I bought for roughly the same price refurbished) in the Antutu benchmark. Yet, ironically, the typing is much better on the Lenovo.
-Screen has poor viewing angles but this is preferred by some people.

Other Thoughts: In this rare case, you do actually get more than you pay for. This is a steal for what you get. I only bought this because I needed a bluetooth enabled device to use in my car to run the Torque App.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat music tablet

Pros: The sound, for a tablet, is terrific. No bass, of course, but the speakers are front-firing, which is far better than a couple of pinholes on the back where the sound leaks out, like some other tablets. Since the speakers are in the front and there is no camera in the back, you can snap it into a nice, streamlined book cover without all of the access holes.

Power cord is a standard micro USB, and that plugs into a 110v plug (included). Don't underestimate the benefit of a standard plug - I have a Dell Streak, and the proprietary plug was not only delicate, but replacement cords were expensive. It was the source of many headaches. But most of us probably have some micro USB cords and USB chargers already.

In short, no surprises (no bad ones, anyway). The sound may surprise you though, in a good way.

Cons: No rear camera, and the front camera is pitiful. But who takes meaningful pictures with a tablet, anyway?

Other Thoughts: My refurb came in perfect condition - no blemishes at all. So for me, this refurb was a far better deal than spending the same amount or more on a no-name brand (which I have experience with). This is a brand-name tablet, and it shows. No hiccups, no rough edges, no touchscreen weirdness - it just works well.
