4 out of 5 eggsBest pick at the time of purchase

Pros: I love everything about it so far besides one important issue. I bought this laptop for 800$ (it was on sale). I love newegg and i like lenovo. Almost a year ago I did my research and chose this laptop and i do not regret it.

Cons: I am a student. For me this means flash websites for things like a online resource for my instructor to give us math problems. I also use skype alot. I own 2 PC's and only on the laptop i can't use connectmath and skype crashes a ton. i have troubleshooted both thoroughly and read through practically the entire skype forum. I can now assume it's the laptop so i dropped an egg.

Other Thoughts: I plan to reset the laptop as a final troubleshoot after classes end. If it fixes the problem i will correct this review.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The laptop is beautiful, responsive, and robust. I purchased it for my wife to replace her aging MacBook Pro, and although she liked her Mac very much, this laptop has made her reconsider her loyalties.

--Beautiful HD screen.
--Boots in 5 seconds.
--Touchscreen is responsive and intuitive.
--Screen hinge is tight and works very well when switching between "modes."
--Keyboard is laid out well (and is backlit).

Cons: --Windows 8.1 does take some adjustment coming from a Mac or Win7 environment.

--I can't help but feel the laptop could be just a bit lighter. It's not "heavy," but I can see how carrying it around all day (class, commuting, etc.) could wear you down.

Other Thoughts: In my opinion, this model is one of the best deals for a strong general-use laptop on the market today.
