Other Thoughts: Recently, I have purchased the Lenovo Y70.The Y series laptops are Lenovo's high-performance line. And supposedly, it should be the very best that the company can offer for non-business users.

But this "top-of-the-line" laptop turns out to be an absolute nightmare. Apparently a substantial number of the Y series laptops (both Y50's and Y70's) are equipped with a malfunction hard drive. In the official Lenovo forums, a thread was created regarding the issue, and complaints from owners filled 12 long pages. Of course, Lenovo doesn't care at all and no solution was offered.

So, in my frustration, I sent in my laptop for repair.

And that, my friends, is when I get burnt over by Lenovo's "quality" repair service.

When I sent in my laptop for repair, they told me that the replacement part will come in two weeks. Two weeks is pretty long, but I guess that is a reasonable wait time due to a "shortage" of replacement parts.

So after two weeks, I should get my computer back, right?

No chance in hell.

After two weeks, they told me that now, I had to wait for a senior engineer to fix my computer, because obviously, it takes an advanced engineering degree to loose some screws from a laptop and replace a hard drive. I was annoyed that I had to wait for longer, but I had no choice in the matter.
And so I waited and waited, and now, it's been another ten days since then, and guess what happen today? They told me that the replacement part that had come in ten days ago is missing again.

Back to square one.

A month has passed since I sent in my laptop, and the repair has not even started.
