5 out of 5 eggsSuperNova R80B451

Pros: Low Priced!
Well thought out
Works great with Adobe Flash
Uses earlier gingerbread Android OS
The battery charged up fine.
Bluetooth audio works very well

Cons: Battery comes completely discharged
Image quality is soft for 800x600 display (no not bad)
mechanical switches for the primary Android functions
weighs around a pound
You have download some apps to make it more functional

Other Thoughts: This review can be for my second purchase of one of these. the unit came with no marks etc. on the case. The Quick Start Guide came with a little wear.
The only way I can give this model a bad review, if the something other than the battery goes bad -- and the can be had rather cheaply on the Internet.

On my first review I gave some apps and material to download. I strongly recommend that you do that!

The main manual
The YouTube app
The bar / QR program.
Other browsers

You may want to download a later flash player from adobe which I have done--but which I haven't installed. The 10.3 player that comes on works fine. I find flash easier to play on this tablet than any other one that I have.

This tablet unlike earlier models apparently is closely tied into the Kindle universe, and you'll get a Kindle etc. store app already on the tablet. You can get many of the apps (free) that I have mentioned off of that. In fact, if it isn't free, I haven't mentioned it.

I would not hesitate to download the apps and manual for this, no telling how long they will be available.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Purchae This Tablet

Pros: None

Cons: DOA (Dead On Arrival)
I bought this refurbished item to try out as an inventory tool at work. It arrived dead. It will not power up. The power port does not work. I logged in to my account and Newegg will not accept a return. They are referring me to the manufacturer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONY ON THIS ITEM! I would put ZERO eggs for a rating but it requires at least 1 egg to write a review.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for what it cost

Pros: Fast for a tablet. Was exactly what my daughter needed for surfing facebook, skyping her friends, reading kindle books and playing mobile apps. fairly sturdy construction

Cons: Drops internet connection occasionally and will not reconnect unless unit is powered off for 30 seconds before reboot. Sometimes will not recognize it's plugged in and charging - but usually resolves itself after a minute or two. Not the best for "touch zooming" on most apps.

Other Thoughts: Ideal for kids who dont have laptop/desktop access easily. my daughter had another tablet by polaroid that broke too easily. this one seems much better in construction.

3 out of 5 eggsPandigital SuperNova Tablet Referb

Pros: For the price, this tablet has to be one of the best around. I see it has a later model number on it than the ones that supported B&N Store. I hope this one that supports another store will be more reliable then what some earlier B&N supporters were reported to be. Instead of B&N this one wanted you to get your eBooks from another store.

Pros: This tablet is fast! -- for a single core processor. It's faster than the tablets that I have an ARM 8 in. It's really a pleasure to use.
It came in a very good condition. No scratches, it could pass for new. It came with all the accessories. Even the Micro SD card.
It does everything it says it will do including play on HDMI.
It has the Gingerbread version of Android, on it, which is a very reliable version of Android. Most every app runs on that version.
Blue-tooth works as well on it as it does on any tablet of that vintage that has version 2.1 on it.
The rear camera can read QR and Bar codes.

I may list quite a few cons, but if this tablet holds up over the months, the low price I paid for it, $45, will make it a 5-star tablet.

Cons: the battery was completely dead, when I got it. It did charge up, and if I ignore some low battery warnings I can get it run 5 or 5.5 hours with a mixture of activities.
This tablet expects you to have an SD card, and one is shipped with it. Unfortunately, I never found the main manual for it. At this location you should be able to get the big main manual that is quite handy and looks like it matches this model quite well.
You do need a micro-SD card for two reasons, while this tablet may work without one, it really expects one, and it the main flash drive, has only 1 GB of space to put programs on! You'll want your pictures, music, and any program you move to it, on it. I like the 2 GB card that came with it, because I substituted a bigger one for it, and I have devices that don't want anything bigger than a 2GB card anyway. ;-)
The YouTube program that came with it, seems to be nearly worthless, go and download a YouTube Reader version 2.4x ah from somewhere, or perhaps a free YouTube downloader app, and you should be happy.
The tablet comes with Adobe Flash Player 10.3, I may try to replace it, but really I'm finding that various sources are making it harder and harder to play flash material on tablets.
The HDMI output, doesn't put out high definition video, at least as far as I can tell. Probably one of the more irritating aspects is that pixel density could be higher to add sharpness to the picture. I haven't decided if the lack of contrast is a bad thing since I can see more detail.
One of the best places to take a tablet and one of their reasons for existence is so you can spill food on them at fast food joints, and not cause damage. I really dislike the idea of the mechanical keys. Well, there be a race to see which goes out first, keys or the battery?

But again all said, notice the price for this tablet!

Other Thoughts: Camera quality is just so-so, but I have a tablet that is much higher rated, and it doesn't take that great of pictures either.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bang for Buck

Pros: Speed is much faster than Novel I got last year
Only lag is in photo gallery
Works fine with Wifi Decent for web browsing
Works good as e-reader after installing FBreader and Freading for PDFs

Cons: So far I can only get OTG to work with a keyboard Not sure on HDMI need to test with other units
Gallery lags when loading new files

Other Thoughts: I had a Novel before this and SuperNova is better in every way
I use this for MP3 playing E-bookreader and light duty web browsing

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Waste

Pros: Nice look and feel...although a bit bulky. Great price.

Cons: Slow and I mean S.....L .....O.....W. and very limited apps, and many of those which are included only work in a limited way. Forget about adding your own books to the library; with this tablet you must purchase them specifically for this unit.

Other Thoughts: As noted in another review, Pandigital is no longer, and without the support of the company must of the already limited functionality of the tablet is lost.

Pros: This tablet belonged to my grandson,,Chase'',,,he brought it with him over July 4th,,and I tried it out--It has all the 'bells and whistles',,,and it worked fine,,I may get one for myself,,,very nice tablet,,fast,,and works well.

Cons: It is hard to find a con,,the tablet works fine,,,the only con I could have,,would be,,it seems a little heavier,,but not a lot heavier...just a bit.

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it,,,its fast,,works fine,,has gingerbread android operating system,,plus 2 cameras,,and all the hook-ups that are found on tablets,,I really liked this tablet,,,also,,geogeous screen.
