2 out of 5 eggsOne serious complaint

Pros: It has standard full size USB 2 and USB 3 plugs not the small micro/mini size USB plugs that don't last.
It has a standard full size SD card reader not the small micro/mini size, you can go from small to big but you can't go from big to small without a dongle.
It has a standard full size HDMI plug not the small micro mini size.
It has a standard VGA plug.
It has a battery on the keyboard for additional run time use.
Additionally, one can buy optional separate battery packs for the keyboard for even more run time.
The keyboard dock nicely stores the included pen stylus.
It is Japanese quality built almost all the way.

Cons: I will not, would not, buy again until Fujitsu acknowledges and addresses this issue.

I noticed a flare on the middle of the screen, that when just holding or pushing from the back would cause the flare to spread even larger.
It is as if something or the circuit board was lodged between the motherboard and the back of the screen causing the flare.
Fujitsu should have put a back screen protector to eliminate this.

I did not attach a picture, but you can simulate the effect by pushing your finger on any LCD screen.

I called Fujitsu about this issue and asked if I had purchased this unit from them if it would be covered under their warranty they surprisingly said that it would not be covered. I then asked them, what if I had purchased their accidental damage warranty and to my surprise they said they did not offer accidental damage warranty on the Q702, they do on all other products.
Looks like Fujitsu has no faith on this machine.

Other Thoughts: If you buy one "lightly" press on the back of the tablet cover if you see distortions or an anomaly on you screen it is likely they are not using a screen protector on the inside of the screen. Remember that if that if that anomaly later on persists, that is NOT covered by any warranty by Fujitsu.

PS: Why I like full size USB plugs:
They are much stronger, so for example,
if I have to use a USB multi-card adapter I would rather have it hang from a strong USB plug rather than a mini/micro USB plug.

The mini/micro USB plugs are smaller and harder to align when plugging them in and are much more fragile.

Most wireless keyboards, mice or other devices have standard USB plugs.

And it is much easier to go from a large USB plug to a micro/mini cable rather than from a micro/mini plug to a large USB cable.

I would not be concerned hanging a wired mouse on a standard USB plug, I would be concerned about hanging a wired mouse on those small mini/micro USB plugs.

Remember this, if you ruin your USB plug on your tablet, it becomes worthless for attachments.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good concept, great processing power and battery life. Installed windows 8 and was able to download the drivers from the Fujitsu website.

Cons: There are not available drivers for the windows home button and sound buttons. Fujitsu hasn't updated drivers on their website since October '12.

Other Thoughts: Two months after I bought the computer, the screen started registering touches randomly on its own. I've returned it to manufacturer but continue to have the problem. I'm sending the computer back to Fujitsu (the Newegg warranty has expired) a second time. This is apparently a common issue with the Q702.

4 out of 5 eggsBest transformable currently available

Pros: Reasonably fast. Decent ergonomics. Fingerprint reader. Nice display. Full complement of ports. Flexibility of having a slate when I want it vs. a laptop style when I need it.

Cons: Noisy fan that runs too often. No stylus silo in the slate (only in the dock). So/so battery life (4 hrs slate, 7 hrs docked).

Other Thoughts: I've owned a variety of Motion Computing, Thinkpad, and other tablets, both slate and convertible, and this is the best so far. The flexibility of carrying just the slate, or with the dock as a laptop, is great.
I bought this as an open-box item on Newegg and got a screaming deal I couldn't pass up. I've no real regrets. It is replacing a Thinkpad X220t with an i7, but I haven't noticed any real performance hit. I do miss the large storage capacity of the X220t, but the option of carrying just the slate has been worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsone problem

Pros: fast,
antiglare screen, pen works better than my Samsung note tablet. win 8 pro worked fine upgrading with exception of one driver see below, ports all work, vga dual screen works flawlessly. battery in keyboard necessary as tab gets about 5 hours with out it. more than double that with keyboard.

Cons: battery life,
not fully ready for windows 8. on fuj tech site you need to download the driver manager and than download the full win 8 driver package. about 20 in all. one driver is not compatible yet. button driver which works the volume, and windows home button on bezel. was told by tech support they are waiting for it to be released. those buttons on the keyboard work though and you can also do the volume and home button by swiping the charms bar on win 8.
fujitsu win 8 upgrade info:
http://solutions.us.fujitsu.com/www/content/support/mobile/windows_8/index.php

Other Thoughts: love it but still deciding if going to return bc of the button driver. I do use the tablet everyday for work heavily and play.

3 out of 5 eggsExcellent concept - hardware is questionable

Pros: The Fujitsu Stylistics Q702 is an excellent concept. I ordered the full package core i5 with the docking keyboard, loving the idea of using it primarily as a computer and then occasionally pulling off the screen to use it as a tablet.

Cons: (1) The TouchPad mouse built in the keyboard failed to work within 24 hours. I called Fujitsu Customer Service and was advised to send it in to their Technical Center for repair. That is definitely not good for a computer that was shipped brand new from NewEgg. The model shipped to me appeared to be a lemon; but hey, there should not be any lemon at all.

(2) I also bought the license to upgrade the computer to Windows 8. I tried upgrading to Windows 8 and encountered the black screen problem (there have been a lot of discussions on this issue on the web). I asked Fujitsu Technical Support about this problem and was informed that this model is not yet supported for Windows 8. This is also not good. Fujitsu Stylistics Q702 is supposed to be a Windows 8-ready Tablet device.

Other Thoughts: On the whole, I love the concept of the Fujitsu Stylistics Q702. Failure of the TouchPad mouse within 24 hours of arrival is a huge disappointment. The Q702 is now in the UPS store going back for a full refund. Thanks to Newegg's excellent return policy.
