4 out of 5 eggsAvatar netbook

Pros: Plays Gopro 1080p files from camera, will mount usb sticks and drives. Its plastic but it is a good deal at 99 bucks.
4 plus hours battery life with music player running while surfing. Good VGA camera and ok mic.
2 usb ports, HDMI, video playback fine. Good battery life.
Great screen for the money.

Cons: Can be slow, do not expect Nexus 7, ipad, or even atom netbook speeds. It can be a music streamer but Poweramp the best android player will not work, Mortplayer did see the USB stick. Apps crash if pushed, typing speed is only moderate, track pad is ok but kind of bleh. Speakers of course are not good.

Other Thoughts: I rate it 5 stars for 99 bucks, for all the tweaks and settings you can use, ability to mount and unmounts usb drives, the good screen, ok keyboard, sound out is good quality, and for me a fanless cheap device to play Gopro videos to review outdoors. No fan to suck in salt air. Check mail, look at pics, off a camera, and it is slow, but I do not want to take an expensive device into some situations. Just enough to get it done. Its better than the worst reviews and a lot of the frustration is with androids fragmented incontinence with apps due to lack of virtual memory, and a a mix of processors, and the myriad apps you simply have to try to find out what works....its got marginal power to run some apps. It can stream video, and music with the right apps.

3 out of 5 eggsBad first impressions

Pros: Cheap. Superb customer service.

Cons: Know what you are getting into and you will not be dissapointed. The thing is a little slow.

Other Thoughts: Ok, so when I first got this thing, it was really neat. I got it because it was cheap and I knew that if it had been a real piece, then I could still salvage alot of the parts from this thing. What I was not expecting was that it is not as bad as some of the other $100 tablets I had previously purchased. First off, it does have the Google Play Store, and yes, you can download legitimate apps from it like you would any other tablets. Though, I cannot vouche for how some of them handle a mouse interface when they are designed for a touch screen.

Anyway, as someone else was reporting here, this thing crashes like nothing I have ever seen. So I called the manufacturer, who is based in the US. The guy informed me that he was aware of ROM and how it was a bit unstable. Turns out, they have a ROM you can use to flash your system with, really simple too. Being that I am unable to give a direct hyperlink, do this. Visit their website, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Customer Service. In the search bar, type "flash", the first link will be the one. Just follow the instructions, quite simple.

I hope this helps your decision.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Satisfied!

Pros: Big screen, bigger keyboard than most netbooks.

Cons: This machine is horrible, the android OS isn't very compatible with the interface at all. I open the browser application and it crashes the system. I download opera mini for tablets it doesn't support most of the regular websites. I bought this device for my mother to check her email, bank accounts, and pay stubs without hassle and its been nothing but hassle since I opened this to set this up for her.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking into a small computer for someone who is computer illiterate do not buy this machine.

5 out of 5 eggsnice little netbook

Pros: Computer is easy to use, ultraportable, and doesn't cost much.

Cons: Processing power is severely lacking, playing hd content is iffy. Forget about trying to multitask.

5 out of 5 eggsI was wary but best "Toy" in ages.

Pros: A portable Android device with a real keyboard and 13.3 inch screen IMHO better than a tablet.
A RJ45 port allows connections to networks using an ethernet cable instead of Wifi.
Screen is sharp and bright.
All movies played very well including Netflix, YouTube and Movies on external usb hard drives. It even provided enough power for a WD portable usb hard drive to work.
Battery last between 5 and 7 hours depending on use.
The Track pad is very usable although each Android App interprets taps and swipes differently.

Cons: The device sometimes seems cpu constrained but I usually found the "sluggishness" was due to the App or Wifi connection. Not the best wireless connections. Although I always managed to connect. Some apps do not handle the real keyboard very well. It is not a problem just find another app.
The specs are wrong. The screen appears to be 1378x768, the hdmi port is a mini port and it is lighter than the 3lbs quoted.

Other Thoughts: I paid $100. For me it is a very cost effective, light, small, portable dumb terminal with email and web browsing. I use it to ssh and vpn into work and use RDP and VNC to control the remote work PCs. (VxConnectBot and AndroidVNC rule).

It is not for the road warrior nor "mines bigger and better than yours" crowd but it is good enough for me especially at $100.

I have now also bought another one for my princess, what more can I say.

4 out of 5 eggsDon't pay over $100

Pros: Nice big screen. No junk apps. Battery lasts long time.
14.5 GB free space.

Cons: Wifi adapter has poor reception. No mouse included. Can't access google play. Difficult to move around screen. Very slow compare to Atom based netbook.

Other Thoughts: Got it for $100. Have to be very close to router to get wifi signal. Good for checking emails and surfing the net.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap Junk

Pros: Cheap, good screen resolution for the size, decent battery life, USB and SD slots.

Cons: -Wireless will often not connect for seemingly no reason
-Barely seems able to keep up with the Android UI, let alone any actual applications
-All browsers (browser, dolphin, chrome, opera, ff, etc) are extremely laggy / slow on this machine. Be prepared to be very disappointed if you've used a decent android device before.
-Keyboard feels very cheap, and is very noisy
-Mouse button is extremely noisy and requires a lot of pressure
-No touch scrolling on trackpad - must click and drag to simulate touch
-Many popular android apps won't download through store and need to be sideloaded

Other Thoughts: Bought it because I figured for the price it'd be something nice to tinker around with, and act as a wireless monitor using iDisplay app. However, it's mostly useless and I would have been better off just buying a USB monitor.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible product

Pros: lightweight, nice looking

Cons: Moderate speed at the keyboard is too fast for this machine to keep up with. Scrolling is very hard to control; android may be great for touch screen, but not for this machine.

Other Thoughts: Openoffice doesn't currently offer an android version. Reviews of word processors made for android system are very unencouraging.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lightweight. Pretty looking.

Cons: It has no scroll bar. The OS is apparently precisely what you find on the phone, so you have to click at the bottom and drag up in order to scroll down. This doesn't work nearly as well with a trackpad as it does with a touchscreen. I bought this computer mainly to write on, and I work with very, very long documents. In order to get to the bottom of one page, I have to click and scroll up twice. It is just not worth it to try to get through a long document. The shortcut to get to the end of the document doesn't work on its Word-like program, and besides, sometimes I want to get three quarters of the way to the end, or halfway to the end, and this is just not really possible. I guess it would be okay if surfing the web or writing two page documents were all you cared to do.

I wish it had the two-finger flick and scroll that macbooks do, but it does not. Moreover, the trackpad itself is extremely difficult to use.

Also, the item is not returnable, as I was very irritated to discover. I bought it with a warranty, and now I'm out several hundred dollars.

I am a very irritated customer. What kind of designer makes an OS without a scroll bar, anyway?

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Deal

Pros: Inexpensive, long battery life, light weight, no heat or noise, full keyboard and screen

Cons: No touch screen, combined with Android OS makes some apps awkward to use
it is rare, and I suspect some developers don't prioritize making sure their app runs well on it, including Facebook
Speakers are not terribly loud, but has a jack
Tasker not compatible, but probably not needed

Other Thoughts: I got this to take notes in class, and with DroidEdit and Dropbox, it excels at that. Kindle app works very well on it, as does Lifechurch/Youversion, Netflix, Opera, Pandora, TeamViewer, and YouTube, among many others.
Tips: Use Opera for Facebook, and EBookDroid to view PDF files, as it is real fast, and uses the arrow keys well
