Pros: It does what it is supposed to do, it cools pretty well & the sound of the fan is exceptionally quiet, BUT

Cons: If you have anybody or anything living with you that has hair, you're won't want this product. Hair can literally get up underneath into the fan, to the point you have to literally destroy the entire thing to get to where the hair is. I LOVED this cooling pad, and was fine with having to clean it every once in a while, but when it started slowing down & then stopped altogether, it became worthless because you have to destroy the entire thing to get up underneath the fan where the hair is collecting. Mind you, I have a short hair dog & am bald, and my dog's hair STILL was enough to get inside & make it not work. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

Other Thoughts: Not sure why this has so many 5 star reviews, its decent but not great. Cooling performance is above average, and the fan is relatively quiet which is nice. Its also pretty light weight which is good, however the kickstand feet dig into your legs if you actually put it on your lap for an extended period of time which kinda negates that benefit. Also, while its nice that the USB cable is detachable, the default one they give you is only a little over a foot long. Its too small to use and keep the cable routed through the channel under the pad. This means it hangs of the side and gets in the way when in use. I also disliked that, while the fan speed was adjustable (who doesn't have it on full all the time?), there was no on/of button. So you have to plug and unplug it when you you want to use it

The LED is pretty worthless as well. You dont even see it when the laptops on. I also question its ability to cool a 17" laptop. I used it with a 15" and it barely fit

Overall, if you can get it cheap its a serviceable cooling pad but there are better options out there.

Cons: -The fan sounds a bit rattily at full speed
-Only has 1 fan compared to other on the market with many more
-The fan cannot be turned off all the way without unplugging it(which is kind of annoying)

Pros: Fits my laptop like a glove, keeps the core temp between 10-30 degrees cooler than without it. I really appreciate that you don't lose a USB port.

Cons: Cant really see LED light, but I didn't buy it for the LED, so I'm alright with that.

Pros: Turns on and does what it's supposed to do, give better circulation then my notebook just sitting on a desk.

Cons: Kinda loud, especially when it is on its highest setting; it almost sounds like a bearing problem. Also, their was something rattling around in it, until I shook it a little and it either fell out or it got stuck somewhere where it won't rattle around.

Other Thoughts: The problem could've happened during one of the shipments and I'm not going to play the finger-pointing game. Though, I'm not going to RMA it because its not worth the time or money to do it and possibly have the same problem.

- Fan's alignment can be thrown off if you try and move the cooling pad while it is still attached to your computer

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace a defunct Targus Chill mat. So far it has been as cooling well as the Targus, but it costs less then half the price! I also like the fact that it uses a detachable USB cable for a power cord meaning it can be replaced if it breaks. That is a big plus to me because that has done in my two previous laptop cooling pads!

Pros: This unit cools my 17" mid - high end gaming laptop such that the laptop fan never comes on. Here's the kicker: it's quieter than the laptop fan, or is at least a comparable annoyance.
It's not bulky and awkward like one of those decks you see people rocking. A 17" laptop pretty much covers all edges of the cooling pad when it's on top of there. I often forget it's even there.
It raises the level of the keyboard, and even has 3 settings for height. I use the middle one, but you can lay it flat or also prop it up on a second extension of the stand arms for some pretty good clearance.
It's a very satisfying unit. The only cable you need connects via USB to the side of both your laptop and the fan control. This cable stows in a channel in the back of the unit so it's not just another tangled cable in your laptop bag. You can turn the fan up and down, and it has an off switch, which, despite not being a huge feature, is kind of nice if you just want to turn it off without having to unplug it.
For the price, this unit is everything you need and more. Don't even bother with those 2-fan decks, the big clunky under-box. This just does its job and shuts its mouth about doing it.
