Pros: Great cooler, design allows proper airflow for many ventilation designs.

Cons: NOT for 17" Laptops. Fits 15.6" laptops perfectly though.

Other Thoughts: Not for 17" laptops, simple as that. It's quiet, and works well for 15.6" and smaller laptops. Does the trick in knocking temps down a few degrees.

Pros: Speed control and ability to turn off.
2 USB ports

Cons: Noisy and didn't really help. The fans don't line up with any cooling vents on any of the laptops I own. All vents on all 4 of my laptops (including work) are all in the back corners and the fans on these cooling pads are smack in the middle so they can't push air into the vents.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I should have spent a little more and gotten something quiet and better designed.

Pros: It is the best laptop cooling pad I've used so far, and I've used quite a few. Fits my 15" Dell Inspiron 1588 perfectly and it doesn't shift around or move at all. Nice and stable too. Most of the time we leave the fans off, as the nice mesh panel helps the laptop breathe regardless of whether the fans are on or off.

Cons: Would be nice if it had a couple more usb ports on the side, but that would increase the cost.

Pros: Elevates my Acer Aspire V17 Nitro very nicely off of my desk. The adjustable fan speed is nice indeed. I just zip tied the excess USB cable so that doesn't really bother me.

Cons: Feels cheap.. I didn't really trust it to hold my brand new laptop, but it does so i'll give it that. Not lap friendly at all! The way that this cooler is shaped makes it harder to use a laptop on your lap than normal. It "rolls" the laptop away from you as the cooler is curved. The fans do not blow towards the laptop. They exhaust air out of the bottom which is not what the picture shows. After about a week of light use, the fans became very loud.. I mean like obnoxious if the room was quiet. So when i'm idling, I turn the cooler off just because it bothers me. Even on low it's fairly loud. It sounds like the fans are off balance so I can hear every revolution of one of them. Also this is my problem, but the cooler actually blocks the intake for my GPU fan near the front of my machine. It's solid plastic instead of a vented mesh right where I need it most.

Other Thoughts: Seemed like a good buy. But you do get what you pay for. I only use it for a stand now, and less as a cooler because I didn't actually notice a difference in cooling performance.

Pros: Very powerful fans, inexpensive, light

Cons: Random clicking sounds from the fans.
Too small for my 17" gaming laptop. Bottom feets fall of the edge.
Flexing noise every time a rest my palms on my laptop.
Even at low speed it's noisier than my previous cooler rated 18.0-25.5 dB

Other Thoughts: Two powerful 140mm fans is a good idea but the chassis housing them is inappropriate. A triangular shape with the fan closer to the back and a very thin front would be better than the arc shape.

Pros: Got this cooler for $19.99 here on Newegg. The price is very good for what you get. The cooler itself has 2 USB ports, so, although it takes one port on your laptop it makes up for it by giving you an extra one. It has a dial on the left side to control the fan speed, which is nice. It's fairly lightweight. It has two back retractable legs which have two different height settings. One of my favorite features is on the top in the front it has two nice rubber flip-up stoppers so that the laptop cant slide down the bottom of the cooler when you have the back legs raised up.

Cons: The back legs don't seem to lock very well when you want to have the cooler raised up. This doesn't bother me too much, although the legs have closed a couple times when I needed to move the cooler/laptop away from me on my desk. Not a big enough con for me to deduct an egg though.

Pros: Fan dial: No set speeds, just near-infinite speed settings (and an 'off' setting)
USB: Includes an extra USB (2.0) port, so the cooler doesn't cost you any.
Size: Fits perfectly under my 15.6" MSI GE60 Apache Pro, no over/underhang on the sides, roughly an inch extra room on the pad front-to-back, depending on laptop position. Surface is flat, improving contact with rubber laptop feet.
Shape: Comfortable on a lap.
Tabs/risers: The pad has fold-out tabs that prevent the laptop from sliding forward off the pad, and are short enough to not interfere with my wrists while typing (at least on my thicker laptop). The pad has risers underneath in the rear, with two settings, short and tall, necessary for when the pad is used on a desk.
Noise level: Varies, depending on fan speed, but quieter than the screaming fan in my laptop.

Cons: The intake vents are along the curved bottom, which is great on a desk, but can easily be blocked by clothing on your lap. See "Other thoughts" for the effect this has. Also, the intake vents are big enough for fingers, clothing cords, or other small objects to get into, possibly damaging clothing or the fans.
USB cable is Male-A to Male-A, about 2 feet long. My laptop's USB ports are in the perfect position for this cooler, so I would only need a 3 inch cable, but nobody makes a 3 inch Male-A to Male-A USB cable. I therefore have a lot of cable hanging off my laptop when I use this cooler.
There is nowhere to store the USB cable on the cooler, so it will be easy to lose.
While the pad has 2 USB ports, one will always be occupied by the cord connecting the cooler to the laptop.
The fans, at certain frequencies, rattle softly. At other frequencies, they make a "wooo wooo wooo" sound.
The metal grate on mine is loose. It won't fall off, but it could be secured better.
A 17" laptop will hang over the cooler.

Other Thoughts: Cooling power:
On full speed, on a desk, this cooler brought my Prime95 Small FFTs test (maximum heat generation) temps down from 96C to 88C on the processor.
On full speed, on a lap, this cooler, in Prime95 Small FFTs test (maximum heat generation), didn't affect temperature because past 96C, the laptop throttles the processor down. Instead, it managed to reduce the amount of thermal throttling. So, on a lap, while the laptop won't run colder, it at least won't slow down.

Pros: It does cool pretty well, very light weight. Inexpensive.

Cons: Feels flimsy, cheap. Can the USB cord be any shorter? Broke one of the feet already.

Other Thoughts: It's alright I guess for the price. Use it on my MSI GS70 and keeps it relatively cooler.
