Rosewill Handy Notebook Accessory kit Model RTKT-11002

Pros: I bought 8 of these kits and 4 of the older, slightly different kits in the past. In this one, they got rid of the LED snake light that had a mind of its own and fan attachment whose motor overheated and melted after about 5 minutes of continuous use on every kit so that's good.

They added ethernet, a better looking earbud and mic, and a 2nd variety of USB cable. All of those are great changes and price is unbeatable.

The case is very light, easy to travel with, and very crush resistant so this makes a great gift for any traveler.

The mouse is pretty accurate and sturdy. It's meant to be used instead of a touchpad on a very mobile laptop, not as a permanent install on your gaming laptop, and beat a touchpad is certainly does. The light weight of the cable almost makes it feel wireless and I've never had the cable suddenly retract while in-use like some other mice.

Cons: The foam that houses all the components is very poorly attached to casing. A tiny bit of epoxy or polyurethane glue fixes that easily enough, it's just a hassle.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the cost of the kit is made up by the mouse by itself, let alone the USB hub. Both would cost a lot more separately.

Pros: Fairly nice assortment of basic extras. The USB extension cable is probably the most useful of all the gadgets. The USB hub is handy, too. The interior has fitted cutouts for each of the gadgets, so everything is well organized and secure--no rolling around and getting tangled.

Cons: The itty bitty mouse is really awkward to use, and my hands aren't especially large. It's handy for when one's regular mouse has gone on the fritz, though, which my wireless one just did. This one has to be a great size for the average 8-yr-old. I would have given the set 5 stars if the mouse fit my hand better.

Other Thoughts: I don't regret paying the discounted price for the set, even though I am a bit disappointed with the mouse. I has a similar mouse once that was just a little larger, and very easy to use, so I was surprised by how awkward it is to use this one. I would have preferred a gender change connector to the microphone and earphone, but a la carte wasn't part of the deal. Nice set to have on hand.

Pros: A few handy cables with retractable cords and a USB hub. bought on special and it works great.

Other Thoughts: price could be a little better for the limited number of goodies you get. I was able to pull a few cables out of my laptop bag and put this in there. saved on space, and purchased cheaper with an active promo code.
