5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Accessory!

Pros: Good solid buttons that have a nice feel when typing - Added battery life for the busy person on the run - Replaces the need for a stand to hold the Tablet while using to watch movies or read a book or magazine etc - a wide range of special function buttons for everything from shutting off the touch pad while typing to taking a screen shot!! Turns an amazing tablet into a netbook and makes a powerful device/tool even more powerful!!

Cons: The keyboard is a little tight for my big fingers.

Other Thoughts: I really wished I'd bought this a whole lot sooner, I've put it off because of all of the reviews that I read saying this was actually just a repackaged 201 Dock. The box does say TF700/TF201 mobile dock, but as I found this is because both docks are interchangeable! You can use the TF201 docks with the TF700 tablets, but you can also use this dock with the TF201 tablets. I didn't feel this to be a Con but did want to mention that it is a tight fit when you hook you tablet up to the dock and I have to wiggle it to get the lock to completely engage and wiggle it to un-dock it as well. As mentioned above the only Con I have is due to the size of the keyboard, but this is minor and I can learn to use it with little to no issues - it will just take time. All in all I've found it to be as the title says the Perfect Accessory for an amazing tablet, which makes typing emails and documents on the go so much quicker and vastly easier than using the touch screen keyboard. The Pros in my opinion far out weigh the Cons and if you're on the fence about getting this and you own a Transformer Pad Infinity Stop Reading and ORDER this you won't regret it!!

3 out of 5 eggscoulda should woulda (Mobile Dock for ASUS Transformer Pad)

Pros: ah the idea behind this product is lofty. i mean how can you set yourself a standard in industry when you product you push ends up like this? it isn't a bad dock. by no means. it just doesn't quite go from good to great. it stays behind; it could have catapulted the ASUS Transformer Pad lines into Apple killers. coulda should woulda. but let me continue by naming what it did correctly.

it seamlessly integrates itself the ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T. i mean it's just an awesome thing to do. it clicks on and you really can't screw that up. on the pad and the dock there are arrows pointing where the place the thing i mean how straightforward can you get? but you will be glad the arrows are there because for me it was a little daunting. i spent all this money and i was worried i would screw something up or place it wrong. but once you see the arrows you know how and where these two things should meet.
wow. just a definite "cool" factor. welcome to the 21st century type of "cool" factors.

another awesome thing: when connected with you pad, the dock's battery will drain FIRST. supercool. and if you have the dock charged enough it will CHARGE the pad. awesome. supacool.

ports: there is a usb port...which is awesome! with certain tegra developed games you can use a controller for said game! i mean that is super sick. kinda almost defeats the purpose a tablet but it is an option. doesn't have to be a controller i plugged a 2 GB flash drive and it recognized it no prob. more expandable storage? yes please.

and it also has a sd slot...another storage option. maybe you wanna store those snazzy pics you took. snap a sd card and there you go. kudos ASUS.

3 eggs only you say? and with these cool things? well. it does. prepare for coulda shoulda woulda.

Cons: this COULDA been the bombest keyboard dock you hard earned clams you just shelled for. almost but man oh man...

COULDA: the keyboard aspect is kinda disappointing. it isn't bad but considering i paid around 120 bones for this bad boy it isn't without gripes. the keys themselves depress just fine but for me there really is an audible "clack" to reassure i press said keys. minor gripe but a gripe nonetheless. the touchpad is decent but i expected more. sometimes two-finger scrolling doesn't. it doesn't when you expect it should. at least it looks sleek and is a nice idea. too bad it doesn't wow.

SHOULDA: this dock shoulda been included with the tablet. i know i might be unfair with some gripes but one does expect more for spending that kind of dough.

WOULDA: this woulda been awesome to the max if the battery on this baby lasted longer. i know it depletes itself before the tablet will and i know it will even charge the darn thing. but the battery doesn't last on this unit. maybe i got one that wasn't built properly idk. i sure expected the battery on this dock to last longer. maybe for a four hour use total i had to charge the dock twice. not as good as i thought it would be. rather, a big let down.

Other Thoughts: a cool cool cool idea but it just underwhelmed me in terms of battery life. pros really save this product but the performance to price ratio just doesn't quite cut it. maybe if it came bundled with the ASUS Transformer Pad it would have the awesome aspects hold up well. but the disappointed battery life high price beg to differ. maybe if ASUS just tried harder to execute it woulda been worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsA must have accessory

Pros: This keyboard is decent in size, and I have very fat fingers. I love the expandable storage it provides (USB 2.0 & standard size SD card slot). Per another review, there is a sticker that is over the box, but after all of my research this keyboard isn't different at all. Maybe Newegg puts the sticker there to ensure speedy and accurate packaging to their customers. The color matches perfectly, and it looks like a sweet ultrabook when connected to the TF700T. The keyboard has common control features on it so you don't have to touch your screen if you do not want to. It also charges your tablet while it is docked on this keyboard, you will get about an additional 4 hours of battery life before your table battery starts to drain.

Cons: Two things that I am not a fan of. First one is scrolling on a web page, I haven't mastered it by any means and I always just touch the screen. I can't figure out how to do it with the mouse pad. The other thing which another reviewer mentioned is lack of a delete key, only backspace is available to correct your mistakes.
An additional thing that is a lack of convenience is that the keyboard doesn't light up (understandable since that would drain the battery)

Other Thoughts: One thing I noticed is if you leave your tablet on standby or locked mode, this keyboard will continue to loose battery life. I made the mistake of charging it over night and during the day I had it locked and I did not power off. By the mid afternoon (3 or 4 pm) I had virtually no more battery life in the keyboard, but at least m tablet was completely charged. If you are typing when the tablet is first turned on, the keyboard as a little delay, just be patient it just needs to warm up, just make sure your tablet is completely booted before you get frustrated.

5 out of 5 eggsSeamless transition to a netbook

Pros: Made to fit perfectly with the ASUS Transformer tablet. If you have that, and you want a keyboard, plus other options for expansion, this is the way to go. Gets you a SD card slot, USB port, keyboard, and extended battery life. Adjustment of screen angle keeps in place well, and the position is rigid.

Cons: The only con is not directly related to this device, but some Android programs are specifically made to not have a widescreen format available (for example, Yahoo fantasy sports apps, Temple Run). For these, and for games that are dependent on the device being tilted (once again, Temple Run), you will need to detach the tablet and use it as a tablet.

1 out of 5 eggsFraud?

Pros: I'm sure it's a fine keyboard, but...

Cons: the problem is that this is in fact the TF201 dock that has a couple of stickers outside the box which say TF700, but are strategically positioned to cover up the original writing on the box which says TF201. Also if you look inside the manual it in fact says TF201 everywhere. So you are being sold the old dock with a couple of stickers on it to cover up that fact.

Other Thoughts: I expect better from Newegg. Needless to say I am returning this.

5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent addition to an excellent tablet

Pros: While the keyboard is compact, the spacing and layout is perfect. Construction is half metal and half plastic, and the gray finish matches that of the tablet almost perfectly. As I've seen noted, when folded up, this looks like a really high-end netbook or mac book and in the short time I've had it, I've already gotten lots of compliments and questions about it. The shortcut keys are very well-chosen and offer a great level of convenience to the user. The keystroke action is excellent and conducive to writing a lot if you need to - not rubbery or unusual in any way - and there are no issues with the key layout that cause repeated mistakes because of something slightly out of place or anything like that. The addition of a USB port is very nice and is an excellent idea for this dock - it's too bad there aren't two of them; they had the space. But having at least one is a very welcome addition. The full size SD card slot is a nice touch as well, but not a game changer really for me since I already have a 32 gig micro SD installed and use a SD/micro SD adapter card when I need to. However, it does save some pain in transferring pictures from my camera to the tablet.

Cons: I have only really identified two real cons thus far. One, the mouse/touch pad is really easy to accidentally touch while typing, and it can make you click on something unintended or end up typing a bunch of stuff somewhere else in your work if you don't catch it right away. However, it is very easily turned off and on by a dedicated shortcut key above the numbers. So just a quick touch of the button before you begin typing, and it's no factor. It's kind of easier to use your finger and the touch screen as the mouse function anyway.

The other con, as others have mentioned, is the lack of a Delete key. So instead, you just have to use the Backspace key. No big deal, but I use both all the time on a regular computer and it would have been normal (and nice) to have here. Really, no reason it shouldn't have been included. On the other hand, we get two (2) "Fn" (function) keys, the purpose of which, so far as I've identified, is to operate the Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down functions associated with the small arrow keypad on the right side. It should be noted that one of the "Fn" keys is located right next to the arrow keypad, and will undoubtedly win the "Most Unused Key" award for this accessory. They could have just made it a Delete key. Still, though, it's by no means a deal-breaker on the whole thing.

Other than that, the tendency of the whole set-up to lean forward when the screen (tablet) is open all the way is not as bad as I expected and is most noticeable when using it from your lap. When it's flat on a table, it is not an issue at all. Even from the lap, I can still comfortably rest the palm of my left hand on the front of the keyboard while typing and reach all the keys I need to with that hand, stabilizing everything.

Other Thoughts: I've had the TF700 for about three months and have been extremely impressed with everything. Without a doubt though, I should have bought this with the tablet. As long as it proves durable over time, there really is no reason to have a conventional laptop anymore. This (the TF700) is very powerful, the battery life with the tablet and keyboard working together is outstanding (haven't taken it all the way down before charging, but 12 hours of continuous intensive use is likely possible), the fit and finish of the keyboard is excellent, and the options it gives you over a standard tablet should make it a no-brainer purchase. Your iPad-using friends might tell you that they, too, can get a plug-in keyboard accessory to use with their iPads, but I assure you, it's nowhere near as nice or as comprehensive as this one. It just works very well and is clearly designed to work in concert with the tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat complement

Pros: Makes the tablet into a laptop feel, provides a more stable work station, you get more SD space, and a LOT MORE battery. Try to get it one sale, it's a nice to have item, not a necessity.

Cons: Careful, DO NOT pick up the tablet by the upper left hand corner, you will crack the screen, ASUS knows of this design flaw and WILL NOT refund or refurbish your tablet, it is "User caused damage" The keyboard adds weight to the whole product and is enough to crack the glass if picked up wrong.

Other Thoughts: Keyboard is great, and adds a lot of shortcut keys you'd have to search for or click on the tablet, i.e. volume button, brightness, etc. again all these can be done from the tablet, but the keyboard makes it faster and easier.

4 out of 5 eggsA Great Purchase

Pros: This is a great way to expand the capabilities of this tablet. The keyboard seemed a little small at first, but after a little practice, you'll be typing away! SD card slot works great if you've got a 64GB to throw in there. USB works great. Neat little fact is if you like using the mouse pointer, you can plug in a wireless mouse dongle. (I used a Logitech Anywhere Mouse) Battery seems to add some nice life to the tablet.

Cons: Seems cheaply built and pretty flimsy. I know they were going for the slim factor with this, but it seems to have no weight to balance out the tablet, so it sometimes falls over. (Maybe a heavier battery Asus?)

Touch pad seems relatively useless, I'm so used to touching the screen anyways.

Other Thoughts: Worth the investment, despite the cons.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: The finishing touch to a great tablet, the addition of the extra storage slot, the USB port, and keyboard would have been enough, but, the additional battery storage has vastly increased the battery life on my TF700!

Cons: None so far.
