5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on 1st gen Nexus 7

Pros: Cheap and effective. Heavy dock keeps the tablet in place on my table well. Pins lined up good. No issues yet. Got this on sale which made the deal even better.

Cons: Asus should have included this with the tablet.

Other Thoughts: I wish there was a better dock app than the one that the nexus comes with. I looked for one but haven't found any that work as well as the ones I have used for my android phones.

5 out of 5 eggsFinally!

Pros: Solid, well made, much heavier than it looks.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I wanted this Dock since I bought my N7 v1 in July of 2012 but couldn't justify the cost until now.
Now I think that it may have been worth the money even at the original price.

4 out of 5 eggsPrice is perfect now, even with some quirkiness

Pros: The weight and angle of the design makes it easy to drop in and use. I can now lay in bed with the tablet on the headboard and use it without propping it up against anything, and not having to plug in the audio and power cables anymore is awesome.

Cons: The POGO pins that connect the device are just not quite right. I've read about this from day one, so I'm not sure if it's just inherent in the design of (these?) pins or in general, but I often find that after dropping the tablet in it starts charging and audio works, but only the right speaker. I have to rock the device forward and back just a tad and the left speaker kicks in. And as I use the tablet, sometimes the speakers pop a little and I sometimes see "Headphones disconnected" on the screen which means the left speaker is disconnecting sometimes.

Other Thoughts: As these close out and inventory goes away the price has become too good a deal to pass up. Just the wear and tear on the connectors alone is well worth it. The original price of this dock was too high but it's half what it was originally and a great buy now.

5 out of 5 eggsGlad I had a Gen 1 Nexus

Pros: This was my last hope for the two Nexus tablets I bought for my kids. They both destroyed the micro-USB connector (and the cables) on the Nexus but luckily I had Gen 1 hardware and this little sucker not only saved the day but actually improved the use of the original product.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Any way to keep the kids from losing the power converters?

2 out of 5 eggsToo finicky

Pros: Docks horizontally

Cons: Pegs don't make the connection unless you really push down on the device and it will still disconnect from time to time. I cut the rubber stoppers out so it would sit lower in the dock and it still would not make that connection any easier.

5 out of 5 eggsWhats up Dock?

Pros: This holds and charges my Nexus 7 very well. Nice angle for viewing and is weighted so that it shouldn't tip over.

Cons: This doesn't come with a separate cable or charger to power the dock. If you don't still have the ones that came with your tablet you will be out of luck.
