Bestek BTA09B2 AC Adapters

Pros: Nice long cord
doesn't get as hot as the original dell charger

Cons: If i unplug it from the laptop but leave it plugged into the wall the next time i plug it into the laptop i get the notorious dell alert that says "ac adapter type is not recognized." so i have to unplug it completely after every use. this isn't a HUGE problem, but it is a problem nonetheless. this is why i removed an egg.

Other Thoughts: It supports FAR more laptops than newegg says it does. I use a studio 1555 which isn't listed here and it works.
Also, if it decides it wants to work properly without the hassle i mentioned in the cons section i will re-write a review

Pros: Powered up my Dell inspiron E1705 and definitely provided it enough power (compared to the 65w adapter i was using temporarily).

Cons: Unit gets hot after about 10 minutes and then starts to squeal in a high frequency.. which I also noticed caused interference with the radio at work.. which is a huge no no with any electronics..

Other Thoughts: I contacted Bestek about this issue and am awaiting response. If my unit is in fact faulty, I'll update.

Pros: I plugged it into my Inspiron 6000 and I have a functioning laptop again.

Cons: Wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the dangerously frayed stock AC adapter for my Dell Inspiron 1521. Saved me about $35 buying from newegg versus the official Dell brand. Its been working without a problem for months now.

Pros: Had to RMA first one. Second one works as advertised.

Cons: Initial one was defective. Had to RMA.

Pros: It works. I have a Dell Studio laptop. If I don't update this review, it means that it is still working fine.

Pros: Works just like it should. I needed something to power my older Dell E1705 that had been sitting for a couple of years because of random shut downs. I stripped it down, cleaned everything, new thermal paste on processor. I thought it may have been over heating. Also with the original power supply I thought the battery was dead because it would never charge. I really wanted this laptop to work, so I decided to pull it back off the shelf and take a gamble that it may be a power issue. I bought this power supply, and plugged it in without much faith and thought if it doesn't work then my daughters could use it with there Dell systems. Well my daughters will have to buy there own now. It powered right up and stayed running. This is advertised at 90W. Checked the BIOS and it tells me 150W. I was very pleased that my system was now running strong. To top this off, my battery that has been dead for 2 or 3 years, will now charge to 100 % and give me about 90 min. run time. WONDERFUL !!!!

Cons: None. Just wish that I would have thought about this simple solution along time ago.

Other Thoughts: I first bought the Bestek BTA09A1 universal adapter. It powered the system, but in the BIOS it was underrated in watts. It would run the system at half the processor speed and would NOT charge the battery. More WATTS = less stress on power supply. The Bestek BTA09B2 works GREAT and stays cool. GREAT BUY !!!!

Pros: Powers and charges my old DELL Latitude D610
Works like a charm, and the price was right.

Pros: did exactly what it said it would do. charges my niece's laptop just fine.

Cons: found a charger with changeable tips for many different kinds of laptops at lowe's about a week later for the same price (no shipping cost).

Other Thoughts: wish i bought the one from lowe's instead but whatever, it's only a few bucks right?
