5 out of 5 eggsA must for the TF201

Pros: Very slick looking.
I was worried about typing on the small keyboard but it works really well, will take a little bit to get used to as with any new keyboard.
The extra battery is awesome.
Shortcuts make getting through Android a breeze.

Cons: Not a huge con, but as mentioned in other reviews, the touchpad is really sensitive and needs to be turned off while typing or you will accidentally skip around. Not a big problem though.

I wouldn't mind it having been a little cheaper, but I could say that with most things! I still feel my purchase was well worth it though. I hope with the new Prime coming out later this year the prices go down so more people will check out this awesome tablet/netbook.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome. I ordered yesterday, used UPS 3 day shipping and it arrived today. Probably due to a warehouse only being a few hours away, but almost everything I ordered has gotten here the next day. No need to use brick and mortar stores when I can get almost everything tech-wise I want the next day.

First thing I did after messing around alittle with the dock was write this review. This really unlocks the potential of the Transformer Prime. It was hard to get a hold of both the Prime and the dock as I had been trying to get a hold of them since January. I travel a lot with work and this is going to be awesome for web-browsing, emails, and videos while I'm on the road. Having this dock has made the Prime one of the best tech purchases I have made in awhile.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat accessory

Pros: Its battery adds several hours of charge to the tablet, and moreover, it's cleverly designed to try to keep the tablet's charge level between 70 an 90 percent -- this helps prolong the lifespan of the tablet's battery. The trackpad allows more precise pointing than a finger, which will be useful for anyone wanting to run Linux-on-Android.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsWow, what a dock!

Pros: I was surprised at how solid and sturdy this dock was after using it for a few days. The dock is very slim, and even attached to your tablet, you can easily fit it into a carrying or storage case. It has its own battery, which extends the life of your TP201 battery, and thus must be charged separately. But it charges quickly. The top row of buttons mainly deal with the tablet's functions and settings, and trust me, I had no idea they would be so handy. It doesn't even flip when I angle the tablet back in the slot. Makes writing letters, email, forum posts, or taking notes go a lot quicker than on a silly tablet keyboard which forces you to touchtype (if you're not sliding).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend you get this if you intend to use your tablet for any kind of business travel or modest productivity.

5 out of 5 eggsI love it

Pros: The dock works fantastic with my TFP. The connection between the tablet and dock is very solid and feels great. It docks easily and you can also easily remove it, but at the same time it feels very firm when you move the screen. The Android specific buttons make it a breeze to navigate through Ice Cream Sandwich.

Cons: The touchpad is pretty sensitive and I usually turn it off when I am going to do a lot of typing. There is a key on the keyboard to turn it on and off so it's a breeze to do though

Other Thoughts: If you have a TFP, this is a must. You'll never use your laptop again.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Tough, pretty, extra battery for longer life, Full size SD card slot and USB port give you even more storage add on options.
The keyboard is really easy to adapt to. Much better imo than any netbook I've ever used.

Cons: the touchpad can be annoying. Your palms tend to hit it while you're typing. Luckily, there is a key right on the top row to turn it off. You'll quickly get used to using it to turn the touchpad on and off as you need to, though personally, I tend to just stick to using the touchscreen).
The Lock key can be annoying too. I tend to hit it often by accident when going for the backspace or volume up keys
Lack of any sort of lip or locking mechanism makes opening the thing with my big sausage fingers an occasional point of frustration.
Those stupid little rubber filler tabs are annoying as hell to remove.
Like another reviewer, I spent some time trying, and failing to mount the pad because I didn't realize they were in there.

Other Thoughts: Some people and reviews complain that the pad is top heavy and has a tendency to want to tip over when it's sitting on the keyboard.
I don't have this problem at all.
I find that having the keypad is really essential to getting the most of the tablet. I almost never take it off, except to show people that it actually is a tablet, and not a netbook!

5 out of 5 eggsGo Newegg!

Pros: Excellent product! This is a must have to "Transform" your Transformer Prime into a very nice notebook!

Cons: The instruction manual should give a little more information about the rubber tabs on the bottom of the tablet that must be removed prior to use. They are a PAIN to remove.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome. Came in perfect as always, and even gave me a shirt! I love you guys!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's there when you need it

Pros: The essentials for those that can't handle soft-querty. Nice set of android function keys, USB port, second SD card slot, a touch pad and extra battery. Easy to remove tablet from dock.

Cons: The battery adds weight to an already solid tablet config, but hell, a half empty 6pak weighs more.

Other Thoughts: This docking station essentially turn this into a wonderful netbook. It is solidly built and perfectly mated with the TF Prime 201. A worthwhile investment.

4 out of 5 eggsStill not sure

Pros: Touchpad, extended battery life, usb port, cf card slot. large and comfortable keyboard that is very high quality. Replicates a netbook for those in transition to tablets. A highbred netbook with touchscreen. Lots of shortcut keys

Cons: Touch pad very sensitive. I end up having it diabled most of the time so dont really use it. I am very concerned about the reliability of the keyboard/Tablet locking mechanism and connections. Looks like pottential weakest link of failure. It would be very easy to misalign and break something. Evertime I connect I ginngerly click together and wince waiting for something to break.

Other Thoughts: I am still undecided if i made the right choice. I was looking at the slider as well. I love the transformer and no regrets their just not sure on which configuration is best. I thought I would be seperating more than I do but because of the above concerns I pretty much keep it together using it more as a highbred netbook than tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: 1. Sleek design, if you like how the tablet is styled the dock fits it very nice, It looks like it goes together very well.
2. Feels very well made, not flimsy at all.
3. The android specific keys work very well and come in handy for not having to touch the screen. You can do most things using the keyboard.
4. Not sure how much longer the battery will provide me but any extra time i get is well worth it.
5. I was worried it was going to be very top heavy but it wasn't. Seems very study sitting on the desk. Don't know how it will act with a long time in your lap.

Cons: 1. Price, I wish it was cheaper say 99
2. Instructions booklet could be better. Dont forget to remove the rubber tabs from the bottom of your tablet. I tried to put mine in the dock and couldn't figure out why it wasn't going in. I don't believe it says anything in the manual about it.

Other Thoughts: In all im glad i was able to get this as it seems to be back ordered everyplace. Its a quality product and glad to have the usb slot and extra battery life. The quality seems top notch.
