Pros: Very solid after installation. Easy for users to operate. Plenty of ports and the multiple monitor function works great.

Cons: Requires some fiddling to get working the first time.

Other Thoughts: We have two of these units connected to laptops running windows 8. As everyone else said, they need a firmware update to get going, but the process was easy and painless. For windows 8 you have to get the software off the web and not use the included software, but again that is not a big deal to us. We use them in a business setting and do not use them for gaming, so our users have not complained about video lag. Once installed, they have been rock solid. Plan on ordering more these units.

Pros: Works. I run my Dell XPS 13 at home attached to 2 24" Asus monitors just like it was a tower. When I'm on the road, I power down the book, unplug the USB 3.0 and toss the computer in my bag. Also, plenty of USB 3.0 ports. No noticeable lag.

Cons: Install was slightly rocky. Had to run a firware update. Didn't recognize HDMI monitor at first, though the problem was resolved in what I think was a firmware update.

Other Thoughts: I have almost every port available on this station filled and I've never noticed any lag. Runs 2 big monitors beautifully. Would have been a full 5 eggs based on the sustained performance of this thing, but it really was pretty fussy at first. Also, I know it's probably the nicest docking station, but it's still a docking station and it was a bit more than I wanted to pay. Still, if using your laptop like a desktop is important to you, then it's probably worth it.

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work, tried updating drivers they also will not install.
Laptop tries to start and then the screen stays black. Not happy about forcing shutdown of new laptop.

Pros: Easy to setup, 4 usb 3.0, high resolution

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: This thing is great. I had to replace an aging dock that would not play well with Win7 (HP) and got this. I was a bit worried about it due to the previous review but w/e, Got it, install was a breeze and client is very pleased.

Pros: Does everything it says it does.

Cons: Doesn't support 3D, so some windows Aero bits won't work and it may blue screen your laptop at startup. Most modern games won't play through it due to the lack of 3D support.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for an all-in-one plug and play solution to cable management, this is for you. But if you want 3D support, look elsewhere.
