4 out of 5 eggsok

Pros: Great quality of the actual unit and good sturdy feel. I am a tech and have high standards of products that I will use and will recommend to others and this is one of those products.

Cons: The usb to barrel adapter is very flimsy. I would not recommend it for use around children or anyone that might forget that it is plugged in. This is the only problem that I have Experienced with this but it is a great product

Other Thoughts: Great product and a good bargain better than a new laptop that's for sure. Might want to look for a quality adapter tough

4 out of 5 eggsWorth it.

Pros: Quiet, efficient. Haven't had a problem with overheating since I got it.

Cons: I've had it about a year now, and one of the fans just got off-balance and it rattles from time to time. Somewhat annoying. But other than that, it's great.

5 out of 5 eggsBest laptop cooler

Pros: Adjustable size; reversible (draw air up or down); retractable power connection;

Cons: Power connection to cooler can possibly snap off... need to be careful when moving it around

Other Thoughts: I bought a second one just in case my original cooler fails

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is comfortable on lap, cools well, is quiet, and the 'resizing' feature is nice for huge laptops.

Cons: The flimsy wire that comes with the product breaks easily if not handled well. After my fans started staggering on and off, I had to jiggle the cord to make it come on for awhile but it would suddenly stop working.

Other Thoughts: This product would get a 5 if the wire didn't suck. It is a pain to replace it as well. After the pad stopped working, I kept it under my laptop as to not burn my legs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Cooling Pad, Bad Cable

Pros: Keeps my laptop noticeably cooler.
Temperature drops (for the GPU):
Heavy load ~10-15c
Idle ~25-30c

Cons: The retractable cable that came with it broke after a couple months of use. The cable itself is very thin and I noticed it starting to wear by the barrel connector. Eventually it just broke off.

The pad comes with rubber feet that when added drastically improve the airflow, but raise the whole pad up 5mm bringing the total thickness up to 25mm or about 1".

Other Thoughts: The power cable for this unit is a 5v USB to 5mm barrel cable (male to male). It was tricky for me to locate a replacement under $5 (found one for about $2), but I was able to solder the cable back together until I found a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd One - One fan dead!

Pros: Design is good.

Cons: I received a NEW replacement G4 Magic Pad from Evercool for the one that stopped working after a month of use. Not more than 3 days later one fan stopped working on the replacement unit. This cooling pad has some serious design issue so I cannot recommend it, though its intent is great and it works well when it all works. Alas, quality is not there. Look elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: Too bad this one is so poor quality. It is like a good athlete that keeps getting injury. Cut your losses.

3 out of 5 eggsTitan Cooling Pad

Pros: Adjustable for multiple laptops, keeps my laptop cool most of the time. See cons.

Cons: I do some gaming on my MSI laptop and it tends to run pretty hot, I got this cooler after doing a lot of research, but it wont keep my laptop cool while gaming. I tried elevating the cooler to get more air flow and that didnt really seem to help. Finally I took it out all together and bought a $15 clip-on fan, cut a hole in one of those tv tables, you know the ones that you eat on and they can fold up w/ you're done. I really wish I didn't waste $45 bucks on this.

Other Thoughts: If you don't use you're laptop for anything strenuous I would recommend this product, but if you game don't get it.

1 out of 5 eggsTYPO FIX:First one died in 2 months, second one died in 4 months

Pros: As I said in my previous review, it cools well, its quiet, etc.

Cons: My first one died with in two months, and i figured it was because the way i pulled on the cable, and used the fan improperly (such as using the B mode on carpet or my lap). It was under a one year replacement warrenty and newegg replaced it for free, but i had to pay shipping. My new one ive had for about 5 months now (estimate) and I took real good care of it, and now, out of the blue, it has stopped working. Won't power on. This was an expensive fan, like 50 dollars plus 8 dollars to get a new one shipped to me, plus a dollar for super glue to apply the pads my self because the adhesive on the pads they give is horrible. I cant have it breaking for no reason every few months. I assume the problem may be the flimsey cord, so Instead of paying 8 bucks to have yet another shipped to me, I am going to by a 10 dollar dc charger and see if that gets it to power it up, although it does limit mobility. At least if it doesn't work then, I other uses for that cord.

Other Thoughts: I WOULD NOW RECOMMEND TO NO ONE! I did alot of research looking for a good fan. This one seemed to be the best and served me well. But It is expensive (as compared to other fans), and something that cost this much should be able to survive. Two of them in one year is just horrible, maybe one replacement in a year, but two is absurd. At the time I bought this, there was only one review (and although it was a positive review) on newegg, but I took the risk. There are now 11 reviews, 1 was my original, and 9 new ones, so I'm assuming they purchased theirs after me, and I'm guessing its either a matter of time before their fans fail, or I am just incredibly unlucky. Also the do-it-our self aspect of this angered me a bit. The adhesive on the pads should be permanent, or near so. But my pads started falling off, and I lost one, so I had to craft another pad of equal properties, scrape the original adhesive off, and apply dollar tree super glue which was stronger. Its been a bad experience.
