2 out of 5 eggsdidn't work properly with 19.5V/120W Sony laptop

Pros: Lots of tips. High power rating.

Cons: I have two Sony Vaios that are rated at 19.5V and up to 120W. This 'universal' charger should fit the bill, then. (120W total power, comes with Sony tip(s), and it says that the 19V tip works fine with 19.5V laptops.) However, on both laptops, the touchpad stops working properly when this adapter is plugged in. Weird.

Other Thoughts: I guess it can be handy to have one of these chargers around, but this one is definitely not as "universal" as the specs lead you to believe.

2 out of 5 eggsBest charger for higher voltage HP's

Pros: This charger is very nice for what it is. I have tried multiple universal chargers for my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, but none worked quite as well as this charger. The added USB slot is nice for charging my iPod or phone in areas where I am restricted to one plug of an outlet, and have too many peripherals already attached to my laptop.

Cons: After about 6 months of use, the charger stopped feeding the right voltage. My laptop required 19 volts to charge, but the adapter would only feed 15 volts. My laptop would recognize the charger, but would not charge at all.

Since I liked the charger until that point, I ordered a second one. This second charger arrived with a defective tip. I attached the 19v HP tip to connect it to my laptop, but my laptop would not even recognize the charger. Luckily I had kept the first charger and was able to use the 19v HP tip from the old charger. This allowed the charger to work, and it has been working fine for the last couple of weeks.

Other Thoughts: The performance on the charger is great, however the longevity and reliability of the charger is spotty at best.
