4 out of 5 eggsBought it for my boyfriend, expected a bit more

Pros: --Definitely a good buy
--Lots of heads for the adapter!
--Keeps charging correctly

Cons: --Head he uses most is loose
--Other adapter heads are kinda loose as well
--Stops charging a lot

Other Thoughts: I don't know, I mean, it's a good adapter for the price but with his specific computer and his specific adapter it really leaves some to be desired.

3 out of 5 eggsThe connector plastic tip melted. Beware!

Pros: The price was great.

Cons: After the first couple of uses, the connector tip melted while in use on my laptop. I had to use pliers to pull it out and the plastic covered tip was warped. I had to shave it off some for it to go back in the laptop. Now I have to use and very strong grip to pull it out with a lot of force or use pliers. If you are a little handy this might work for you.

Other Thoughts: 2 stars for product. I actually had to do some handy work to get it to work. 1 star for the good price. 3 stars total.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as good as the cheaper model

Pros: cheap
Good for less power needy laptops.
lots of adapters

Cons: For my Asus it could hardly keep up with it surfing the web. I know my comp is a bit more power hungry then most laptops and when I run a game it just cant keep up.

Other Thoughts: I got one of the older models last year that was cheaper then this one and it worked great, just sad that the one that costed a little bit more fell short. I'm sure it would work well for those with less power hungry laptops but for those with gaming ones it just wont cut it.

2 out of 5 eggsRandomly stops working

Pros: It sometimes provides power to my laptop of the same voltage and current as my previous AC adapter. It has multiple heads (of which I only use one. I got this because my laptop is unbranded and I didn't know what size head I needed).

Cons: It seems to stop working after a while. It stops providing power to my laptop and I have to pull it out of my laptop and plug it back in. It will continue working for a while after that. This is after the FIRST DAY OF USE. I just got this today and have only been using it for maybe 4-5 hours and I have had to re-plug-in the power cord 3 times. I hope this problem doesn't persist.

5 out of 5 eggsFits Asus M50VM series

Pros: -Standard Barrel wall cable connector
-Fits better than my original Asus power cable in the laptop. (Nice and snug)
-Good cord length

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I only recieved it a little while ago but I must say I am very impressed with the snugness of the fit of the tip in the laptop. Most 3rd party power adapters I've used don't fit nearly as well. I'll update this review if I experience anything unusual but I'm very happy so far and the price is excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsTop Notch

Pros: Ordered this after my Toshiba Satellite M305 stock adapter went out and needless to say, it works like a charm! For Toshiba owners out there, the white plug did the trick for me. The adapter itself is of good quality for the price paid, but I am only looking for it to last me around a year before I get a new laptop.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I ordered this on a Monday night at around 5PM CST and it was here from NewEgg's California location by 1PM Tuesday (today). Great jobs as always NewEgg!

4 out of 5 eggsPretty handy

Pros: Comes with many adapters, compatible with just about everything!

Cons: The adapter heads themselves might fall off the power plug. The heads attach snug, but they don't really secure into place. A slightly firm tug and it's sure to pop out as my wife was too happy to demonstrate...

Other Thoughts: If you're careful with your electronics, the adapter head fitting won't be a problem. Just be aware of it.

I work on laptops for a living, so I recognize the sizing of many of the plugs, and this truly is compatible with just about everything.

5 out of 5 eggsVersatile laptop adapter

Pros: Compact 90 watt, 19 Vdc laptop power brick, about 10 foot long overall. That 10' is comprised of a 6', two-wire, 110 v. power cord, a 7"-8" power brick, and a 5' low voltage line to the laptop. Comes with a good assortment of laptop tips to fit a large number of laptops that require an 18.5-19 Volt DC charger. Very inexpensive compared to OEM power adapters, but it feels as solid as the OEM, looks the same and seems to produce the same heat loss. Checked the output voltage and it is stable at just under 18.8 Vdc under load.

Cons: The cord between laptop plug and power brick is stiff, not terribly so, but stiffer than the original HP part. That may impact how you lay it out. The cord could be a bit longer brick-to-laptop is about 5 ft (60"), the original was a bit over 6 ft.

Other Thoughts: I have used this unit with an Acer Netbook, a Toshiba laptop. The supplied tips did not include a 5.4 OD x 12mm needed for my HP or second Toshiba laptop. An email to the Mfgr revealed they have extra tips for about $2. I got the tip I needed by mail, and this charger now covers ALL my machines. The Mfgr indicated they may expand the number of tips they supply with this unit.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but for one problem

Pros: At $30 it's a better deal than nearly all manufacturer products or the universals. Comes w/ bag & a velcro cable tie on the Laptop-Adapter line. Two prong AC adapter (versus 3 prong).

Cons: I looked up my laptop's plug in the PDF on the Sparkle Power website. They told me it was "5". Except none of the plugs are numbered, they're all in colors. The included documentation tells you what brand they roughly correspond to, but not the number of the plug.

Oh, and there are two yellow plugs.

Other Thoughts: I have an ASUS W3J. The PDF told me my plug was "5". That turned out to be the white one -- which did not correspond to the listing for my brand. I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem, but hey you never know.
