This is a nice, solid, sturdy stand. I had a cheap plastic stand before, but switched to this Griffin Elevator as soon as there was an extra. It will wiggle/reverberate a bit if you hit it or bump your desk, but is overall very sturdy. Nicely padded with rubber or plastic to keep your laptop gripped in place. The laptop gets more air and there is a little bit of storage room underneath. My mousing hand aslo has a bit more room, and I can keep cables fed underneath the stand. Cons: None, but see "other thoughts" Other Thoughts: This stand works great at work for my Mac with the flat metal bottom. I'm considering getting it for home use as well, but there is one caveat: my home laptop has vent holes on the bottom, relying on its feet to lift it off any surface and get air underneath. However, it's much wider than this stand (giant laptop). I'm concerned the resting parts for the stand will cover up some of the air holes on the bottom of my personal laptop. I'm only concerned because I do a lot of gaming & game development at home, and my laptop gets really hot. I would guess most other laptops would be just fine. So, bottom line, this is a good, solid stand; you just need to make sure that it fits your laptop right.
