5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Received product quickly but they are pricey I guess that is because they are Lenovo. But they are what I needed.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsFlawed Design

Pros: Works fine - until it fails.

Cons: The design of these Lenovo adapters tends to stress the wiring right behind the adapter plug. Over time normal cord movement will cause the wiring to fail. I've already replaced two adapters and my laptop use is pretty standard - at my desk, on the road, occasionally at home.

5 out of 5 eggsWell-made and functional.

Pros: 2-prong plug, good build quality, minimal heat generation from the brick, pretty good price for an OEM adapter. Had to replace the one that came with my T510 after mine finally died for good.

Cons: I tend to prefer right-angle AC adapters, especially in laptops like mine where the power jack is in the back. This adapter has a straight one that protrudes a bit (less so than some other OEMs however.) I use my machine while lying down sometimes and it can get annoying. That is however a minor quibble not worth docking an egg, and if you have your jack on the side it's a nonissue.

Other Thoughts: Pretty much the right thing to get if you're a Thinkpad owner. Thinkpads take 20V, and a lot of the universal ones out there are only 19-19.5V. I've found that many of those don't come with the tip for newer Thinkpads. I also find that the Lenovo-made ones last pretty long compared to other OEMS. My machine came with the exact same one and I got two years out of it with considerable abuse. Given the comparatively low price, it's a better bargain than going through a lot of the cheap universal ones (or even the expensive universal ones, for that matter.) While a universal one with the correct tip works, not having the right voltage and wattage is a bad idea, since it will impact the longevity of the brick and possibly even the PC.
The price is also good enough not to make me chance a universal adapter, unlike those of some other OEMS that price-gouge adapters like it's their business.

All in all, a good buy for Thinkpad owners. Just make sure you get the right wattage! Some of the beefier Thinkpads need the 90W or higher versions.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with T61, good as travel adapter

Pros: This charger works with my T61 laptop, in case anyone was worried about compatibility issues. It works just fine and is great as a travel adapter because it is significantly smaller than its 90W counterpart.

Cons: As with all Thinkpad adapters, the actual connector to the laptop is fragile and can be broken without careful treatment.

Other Thoughts: Adapter is not grounded, as with most other Lenovo adapters; of course, this helps with being able to plug in at areas without grounded electrical outlets, but perhaps isn't safe. However, I've never had a problem with these types of adapters regarding power safety.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: I bought this adapter for my R61 ThinkPad and it works amazingly. It perfectly replaced my old, damaged cord.

Cons: The cord does tend to break right where it plugs into the laptop, so replacing it can get expensive after a while no matter where you buy it from.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend not buying a generic AC adapter for a laptop. They aren't always entirely safe for people or computers. It might not always be cheap to buy name brand, but it is a whole lot cheaper and easier than having to replace your entire CPU.

Pros: i've bought two lenovo chargers on eebay which are really cheap probably 10 shipped. however it only lasted for 3 hours and made a burnt mark on my carpet. you get what you pay for!!!! i can't stress this enough. this charger has been plugged in my laptop for a week now and nothing has gone wrong.

Cons: i wished it was cheaper. but you get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsThe Lenovo Tax

Pros: none

Cons: My third adapter in 18 months just died. The wires tend to break near where you plug it in to the laptop.

Other Thoughts: Get a generic universal. They're cheaper and can be used with other laptops

5 out of 5 eggsExact Match - X61 tablet

Pros: It provides power.

Cons: It doesn't shock my coworkers when they try to touch my shiny new tablet.

Other Thoughts: This is a genuine Lenovo power supply, and the exact same one that came with my X61 Tablet. Not too much else to say.
