1 out of 5 eggsTruly disappointed

Pros: It's a battery and I needed a replacement because my previous one would only hold about a 48% charge

Cons: This one stopped charging less than 5wks after purchase

Other Thoughts: Batteries are a strange thing. I'm not sure about the integrity of the one I received. Disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsMarvelous

Pros: This is an excellent Lenovo-branded battery. It fits securely (unlike some generics) and has incredible run time. I can easily get 6 and sometimes 8 hours of use (Outlook, Word, WWW) which will get me through a few all day meetings with no power cord. The 9 cell is worth the extra $$$.

Cons: No issues with this battery at all. I have not had good luck with no-brand knockoffs of this same battery.

5 out of 5 eggsGood solid battery

Pros: Large capacity - gave my build 6.5 hours of runtime in max powersave mode when new. (2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm, X1400, 14.1" SXGA+)

Cons: After around 300 cycles, many of them full discharges, have lost about 30% of capacity. Also kind of heavy/bulky if that's an issue, but it's worth it for the runtime.

Other Thoughts: Like other reviews said, don't let it drain all the way very often, but also don't leave it plugged in all the time. I'd say discharging to about 70% every couple of days will keep it happy-- Lithium batteries like to be cycled in the upper range of their capacity. Draining it all the way before charging every time will destroy your capacity--only do this to OBSOLETE NICAD CELLS.

4 out of 5 eggsGood if you need more battery life

Pros: Gave my ThinkPad 3 1/2 hours of battery life, compared to the 1 to 1 1/2 battery life that came with the factory shipped battery.

Cons: Loses life if you keep the battery constantly plugged in. So remember, always let the battery run to a very low status before plugging it back in...it will last much longer if you do!

Other Thoughts: Still waiting on a battery that never loses it's life. Maybe that day will eventually come...who knows?

5 out of 5 eggsGood and Reliable

Pros: Long life works well. No problems.

Cons: When I bought it, it was 5 months old(since it was manufactured),(pro:) but there were no cycles on it and it was fine.

Other Thoughts: I ruined my previous battery by draining it all the way to 0% or till the laptop turned off by itself or gave a low battery warning. Turns out I did not know that lithium ion batteries do not like to be drained all the way. You should generally start charging them at around 10-20% after use. Any lower than that and you risk shortening your battery life. A complete drain every 30 cycles is required for battery guage calibration.

5 out of 5 eggsVery long battery life

Pros: Lasts a very long time - stays lightweight and doesn't stick out very far

Cons: Short life for my build -
T7200, 2GB, 7200 RPM 100 GB, X1400, 15.4" WSXGA+ T60.

Other Thoughts: I am going to be buying the UltraBay battery later... I have 4.5 hours with this battery and the screen dimmed with WiFi on, BT off, and doing internet/email. I want 6.

4 out of 5 eggsIBM

Pros: The battery actually performed quite well. Performace was excellent.

Cons: Unfortunately, the battery was part of the recall, and I was told that I probably wouldn't get the replacement until i retire.

Other Thoughts: IBM ThinkPad products are awesome, and Newegg has all you need.
