5 out of 5 eggsCollege Student

Pros: Best Backpack i have ever bought. I can put both of my laptops and my cooling pad into the big pocket in the back and still have room for all of my text books.

Cons: The stretchy cord on near the front caught on a door handle and broke but i just tied it.

5 out of 5 eggsMy go to bag

Pros: Very large capacity. I originally purchased this to lug my work laptop around. It ended up being my carry on for all sorts of trips whether i bring my laptop or not. Extremely sturdy and durable. I've had this bag for over 2 years and it's been on numerous camping, out of state and overseas trips. All of the zippers are still intact and there is no evidence of holes or seam breakage.

Cons: It's big enough that i occasionally have a hard time finding things in it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for school

Pros: This bag works great with any 17" laptop, including Alienware m17x and CyberpowerPC Fangbooks. I use it for school and the vast number of pockets and zippered pouches provide ample space for all my books and supplies.

Feels nice on my back, even with textbooks and a heavy laptop weighing it down.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for use at college - often carry about 2-3 textbooks plus a fully loaded and heavy 17" gaming computer (Cyberpower PC Fangbook).

4 out of 5 eggsHuge inside without looking huge on the outside

Pros: Very large on the inside. I'm holding my 17.3 in MSI GE870 laptop in it as well as an older 15.6 in lenovo laptop (was doing some work on it) I can also hold my very large 17.3 in Asus G73 and my MSI GE70 at the same time (although I dont like to because I like the extra padding for my MSI laptop). Not to mention I carry my Razer Electra headphones, tons of cords (ethernet, chargers, usb connectors, ect.) a small tool set, both laptop bricks (which are large 120watt bricks), a 8 plug power strip, extra pair of glasses, a plethera of burnable dvd's, as well as a few spare 2.5in hdd's.

All in all this backpack expands nicely and has tons of room. I also did some homework and realized that for other backpacks in this category it has the strongest nylon strengths compared to others. That means that it is a bit more water resistant, as well as much stronger for the daily grind.

And again, this backpack is HUGE on the inside, but it also won't make you look like you a 1st grader going to school with an animal clinging to your back.

Cons: The only con (and the reason i gave this backpack 4 stars) is there was a few pockets in the backpack that i wish were a little bit more versatile. I used to have a much smaller backpack, but the way the pockets were aligned it gave me more room them expected, and they didn't have a similar pocket design on this backpack.

Although this doesn't take away the fact that I can hold everything i had before plus much more, it is more of just a preference of mine.

Other Thoughts: Overall if your looking for a big backpack for travel, or you want a backpack because you go back and forth to school and your a big tech guy who wants lots of room, this is the backpack for you.

3 out of 5 eggsNot the best for the money

Pros: Spacious, lots of compartments, padded laptop area, versatile, and fits a large 17" Dell XPS with the extended 9 cell battery. I used it every day for college, with a laptop and several books in there. Also used it to carry power supplies, parcels and boxes, and generally overstuffed it without it failing.

Cons: The backpack started to wear out after under a year. The mesh on the back cushion also started destroying my shirts, I had to put duct tape around the bottom where my laptop and books pushed it against my back. In a similar vein, not the best hang off the back, it never really felt comfortable to me. Also, as a biker and a warm-blooded person, there is NO air flow across the back. If you sweat easily wherever you live or will use this, you'll probably want a back up shirt. You can fit one in this bag!

Other Thoughts: It was a good try, but I think I will move on as I have found a good looking columbia bag that addresses my main concerns on Amzon for a similar price.

4 out of 5 eggsVery, very good. However...

Pros: This backpack has tons of space in it - more than I ever needed on a daily basis thus far, sans traveling. The side cup strap is capable of holding 32 oz. bottles, which was something I really enjoyed.

The color is nice, and easy to match with.

Cons: Unfortunately, this backpack isn't very friendly to those individuals with larger upper trapezius muscles. After having a typical load-out for an 8 hour+ school day, I could only wear it for about 15 minute intervals before getting too sore in that area.

Also, it could use some more pen holders, and a tighter mesh-pocket in the third pocket (second non-laptop pocket). Just a drop in the bucket though, so to speak.

Other Thoughts: I really loved this backpack at first, but after awhile it became a little too much to ignore, especially after workouts where that area would get worked. Hopefully some of the people who determine this bag's design will see this and reconsider that portion of straps.

5 out of 5 eggsBest I've found for large laptops

Pros: This bag has so many pockets, you can fit anything you want in it. I have a MacBook Pro 17" that carry about a mile to work from the train station in NYC. I have cables, and USB sticks, and a kindle, and an umbrella in the side pocket, and pens in the other side pocket, and notepads and all sorts of things.

I've had it for about three years and there is not one tear or sign of wear on it.

Cons: No support for lower back other than some padding. Once you load up the back with too many things, it slides down your back more when carried only over one shoulder. Needs a waist band like some heavy duty bags have.

Shoulder straps could use a little more padding.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with it!

Pros: Very roomy! So big that it's rather difficult to carry when full.

Cons: It would be nice if it had places to clip things onto it (dog collar type clips). I've got a few "fanny pack" style zipper bags that I could carry outside the bag if I had a way of attaching them. This would allow additional storage space for cords.

Other Thoughts: I was pleased to discover that one compartment has a place to velcro strap an MP3 player - and that compartment has a rubber reinforced hole in the top to allow the headset cord into it even while zippered closed.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for School

Pros: I've had this backpack for a few months now and it is awesome! Has enough space for my Macbook Pro and my HUGE physiology book. I have already recommended this to a few other of my college friends.

Cons: Doesn't take my tests
