2 out of 5 eggsTurtle Shell

Pros: It works?

Cons: It is a low cost backpack for carrying your laptop. I have heard more jokes about the looks of this thing then one should. If only it came in green would make it even better (teenage mutant ninja) or maybe red with black dots (lady bug). Will most likely find an alternative style back pack.

Other Thoughts: I find the inside is no very spacious, holds a laptop and power cord but not much room for other things.

Spend a bit more and get a nicer pack.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Specialty Backpack

Pros: This backpack can house a relatively thick 17" laptop (about 2.1" in height), so sizing it to your laptop shouldn't be a problem. Its length allows for a full-sized keyboard as well.

If you keep multiple laptops, one of the compartments inside is capable of holding a 12" or maybe a 15" if you squeeze it in, in addition to a 17" laptop. There is a Velcro-attached partition that can hold a 17", so there's a little added fun in customizing which side of the backpack you want it on

These little "shoe bags" are cute, but I haven't found much use for them. They're Velcro too, so you can stick them to almost any surface inside the bag

Cons: Eye of the beholder, right? The superman abs don't look too hideous to me, and usually I hate yellow, but this backpack grows on you

Don't buy this if you need to carry textbooks with your laptop. You'll only fit one textbook and a couple notebooks with your 17" in there

Other Thoughts: For those considering this, here's what you get:

- Compartment inside good for a 12" to maybe 15" laptop

- Velcro-attached partition/divider that sticks to either inner wall of the bag acting as another compartment for a 17" laptop with pouches on one side for accessories, pens and such

- Hidden zippered pocket on top suitable for MP3 players and phones (fits my 4.8" screen phone)

- Zippered side pocket for...change? Money? I've never used it for anything but it only goes in a couple inches with a mesh lining, so I'd assume it's just for coins

- 2 Velcro "shoe bags" for accessories

Note: The colors shown in the pictures are inaccurate. The one sold here (until Newegg allows color selection) is the black bag with yellow trim.

Overall, this is a great, durable backpack suitable for those who use their computer for everything. If you need to carry books too, well...you might need a separate bag.

3 out of 5 eggsSecure, But WAY Too Small

Pros: Very secure, nice for city travel. Friend had his $2,000 laptop stolen and never bought another again. That's why I bought this. Secure and would seem to be great on bicycle/motorcycle traveling. Laptop is secure and nothing flaps around. I have a pretty heavy laptop but it feels nice and secure with the material surrounding it. The aerated material on the back feels good as well. I wouldn't do an intense cardio bike travel with a laptop on your back, but I'm sure this would be good if you want to bike to a cool shaded park and type something up. Just not the beach or somewhere hot. Read the cons as to why.

Cons: If you have a gaming laptop, it's probably not for you. I had to go out and buy a whole new laptop bag locally just to have space, so make sure this is right for you. I can barely fit the laptop and a Cooler Master http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834992805 in it and the zipper seriously feels like I'm going to rip the material. I'm not joking, it barely zips up and I could easily see this ruining the bag if I kept this up -- and this is removing all the parts and sections of the bag, too. So I have to choose between bringing the power supply or the pad, which isn't large at all. That's really not a decision a gamer should have to make knowing that their laptop can easily overheat without a cooling pad of some kind. If you think you're going to fit a keyboard or mouse or any other peripherals like headphones in it, forget it. It can hold a laptop and maybe a thin paperback book, without power or a cool machine.

Other Thoughts: I'm an extremely vain person and concerned about my appearance, and I think it looks great despite the other review. I looked at myself on every angle of the mirror and it passed my vanity. My mother, brother, and friend agreed. However, the first thing the 8-year-old at a friend's house said was "it looks like a beetle!" -- I think regular backpacks look more goofy and burdensome, this one is quite thin. Clearly because of how small it is, it doesn't protrude.

I LOVE this idea, don't get me wrong, but Mobile Edge, if you're listening to this, make a bigger bag!! This is really the only one you have?? You have an awesome idea and somebody should have thought about this before. But until then, I can put a mini lock in-between my two zippers to keep them together and make it equally as secure so nobody steals my laptop from behind.

5 out of 5 eggsTMNT

Pros: This thing holds my Toshiba Satellite 17.3" just fine. there is other space too. The other reviews say it all. It was definitely worth the money and the security on the bag is great. It is a comfortable to wear and comes with 2 little shoe bags...I think thats what they are??
Personally I like the style, its different than other backpacks and yes it looks like a turtle shell a little...

Cons: The photos show a white camo on the straps...umm no where to be found...

Other Thoughts: cannot wait till its a little more broken in...like my girlfriend..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Backpack

Pros: Very comfortable with plenty of room for a large notebook and accessories. Lots of extra pouches for external hard drives, pens, whatever. Very sturdy with little / no wear after 1 year of regular use.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This isn't your standard college backpack. You might fit one large book in it along with the laptop comfortably. If that suits your needs, then I highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's pretty ugly!

Pros: It's roomy, comfortable, plenty of room for computer and all accessories.

Cons: It is really, really ugly. And I mean, so ugly that my husband, who is the least vain person I know, will not carry it around. It looks fine in the picture, but in person it looks like a giant beetle. There's this weird, unnecessary texture on the front of it that looks like superman's abs, and the pocket above it bulges out, which gives it the beetle like appearance, because it looks like the bug's head.

Other Thoughts: If you have less care about what people think than my husband does, I say go for it. Or just a completely different sense of style.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bag

Pros: comfortable, fits my 17" Dell Laptop with room, the bag is secure and I feel safe placing electronics in it without fearing they get damaged or stolen.

Cons: The bag is big and slim. Would not fit something wide with depth in it. Not a big deal if everything you carry is slim.

Other Thoughts: I walk a lot, so comfort is perhaps the best thing for me. I would definitely suggest this pack as a day to day pack.

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT BACKPACK CASE! Way to go Mobile Edge!!

Pros: Fits my HP Pavilion DV9700T notebook as smooth as a glove! Has plenty of padding and SO many compartments inside. Didn't look like it from first glance but is definitely a very sturdily built case. Had I the option to buy this case again I would do it in a heartbeat! Nicely padded straps and definitely secure so that others cannot steal components out of it while you are wearing this case on your back. I am very impressed! Way to go Mobile Edge!!! :)

Cons: None that I can see. All compartments are spacious and nothing really gets in the way at all.

4 out of 5 eggsNice back pack

Pros: Well built, secure, confortable, lots of compartments, separated mp3 player pocket.

Cons: It won't fit my Dell Vostro 1700 with the 9 cell battery, which sticks out.

Other Thoughts: Who to blame? Dell for having the battery poorly designed or Mobile edge for not acomodating them...
