5 out of 5 eggsPretty nice backpack

Pros: Great division of pockets. The small "sunglasses" pocket is particularly handy for storing wireless mice, headphones, and other accessories. That small pocket alone holds my earbud case, two wireless mice, my Nexus 4 phone, and a few thumb drives.

Durable construction lets me carry two laptops in the main compartment without any fear of broken handles or the bottom giving out.

Seems to be water resistant. Not proof by any means, but does a decent job keeping moisture out of the interior spaces.

Straps are comfortable even with weight in the backpack.

Cons: There are two "handles" on top. One is a fabric material, the other has a rubbery/plastic piece that moves back and forth over a sheathed cable. This second handle seems much more secure to lift the backpack by, and I did so many times. After about a year of ownership, the rubbery plastic cracked.
Over the course of several months, that piece split into two parts. The edges are NOT sharp, but it is uncomfortable to hold for more than a minute or two.
The underlying cable is untouched and holding up great. I have no fear of it breaking completely.

The logos are annoying to me.

Beyond those two minor issues, the pack is great.

Other Thoughts: Purchased Jan 2011. Used daily for three years hauling a 17 inch Asus laptop and college textbooks. Plenty of abuse from me.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: - One of the few bags that fits 17" laptops
- Tons of pouches, pockets and compartments to keep things separated and organized. Everything has its home in my bag.
- Very solid construction. Not a single thing is broken on mine after 3.5 years.

Cons: - It is expensive for a backpack (but it's worth it).

Other Thoughts: - Don't buy it if you want to stand out. I see it pretty regularly when going through the airport

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: I use this for work and school and it keeps everything I need. The padding is nice and it wears very comfortably. I have owned it for a year and a half now and it still looks stylish. I do have one small tear on the bottom corner because I dropped the bag with a sharp object in it but in the past 8 months the tear doesn't appear to have gotten any bigger. From daily use, the zippered pocket to put your laptop charger in is a little torn as well but overall it is worth every penny.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsgreat storage options

Pros: surprisingly a lot of storage/storage options. fits 3 hp probooks at a time, with other stuff in the bag as well. stands upright pretty well most of the time.

Cons: price is a bit high for a backpack....

Other Thoughts: I got it on sale and wasn't impressed by the looks at all. i got it for the storage it provided and have been pleasantly surprised at how useful it is.lots of storage, i mean i can fit 3 full size probooks in it with extra room.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible warranty service

Pros: Great backpack that a 17" laptop can fit easily. Good storage options

Cons: Good backpack but not near as durable as other Swissgear products that I have used in the past. Material used is thin and lightweight. Made in China like everything else.

Other Thoughts: Tried to use warranty on backpack because a plastic Cheap plastic buckle had broke for the large strap in the back. Sent pics and sent in my receipt and they would not honor because of they said that it was "normal wear and tear". Now I will have to rig it by tying the strap into a knot. How attractive!

Would have given 4eggs but their warranty is terrible.

5 out of 5 eggsBest ever

Pros: I've had this backpack for a few years now. My laptop only has dents from NOT being in this thing. I wouldn't drop the bag from 6 feet high but this thing is great. Not to mention in general it's a great backpack all around. Confortable, durable, etc.

BEST BACKPACK EVER.

Cons: The two zipper side pockets are not only small but awkward. The extra options to stick small things in is nice, but they are just a little odd.

Other Thoughts: BUY IT

5 out of 5 eggsGreat backpack

Pros: *Laptop slot with the velcro strap keeps my laptop secure
*Quick pocket is useful for small things and easy access
*Multiple compartments to hold stuff
*Small handle is good for hanging on a hook
*Large handle is comfortable when you need to carry it by hand
*Comfortable when wearing

Cons: *It's supposed to stand up on its own, but sometimes it doesn't balance for me

Other Thoughts: I'm a college student and I've been using this backpack for a while now. It's great and I love it. It hasn't been to heavy or anything when walking around campus even with my laptop inside. It fits my laptop and other books, binders, etc.

4 out of 5 eggsSmaller than you think.

Pros: Great quality. I had the 15 in. one for years, and this one seems to be just as well made.

Cons: Will not fit larger laptops. They need to list the dimensions of the laptop compartment. I have a MSI GT70, and it does not fit. Now I have to pay a third of that I payed for it in return and shipping fees. I will not be buying this type of item online until I test it in person first.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper long lasting

Pros: I've had this backpack since October 2007 and I have gotten so much use out of it. It survived a 7 month deployment on the USS Abraham Lincoln and a 7 month deployment to Afghanistan. I've had plenty of large desktop replacement laptops and they all fit perfectly and were kept safe with all the nice padding. I've had a Toshiba x205-sli3, Clevo x7200, and now a Clevo p170em. All very large laptops (especially the x7200) and were kept in this backpack at all times when not in use.

Cons: The little red Swissgear emblem on the front fell off less than a year and the paint on the little black metal rings on the front are chipping and are rusty now.

Other Thoughts: Every other year or so I seem to find a random handful of foreign change and bills. Fun loosing stuff and finding it later.

4 out of 5 eggsDoesn't fit right

Pros: Wonderful, quality bag with lots of storage.

Cons: After reading all the reviews for carrying a 17.3" Laptop in the special compartment of this bag, I was sold. However, when I got it, my ASUS G75VX-TS72 17.3 will NOT fit in the pocket. It will ride in the main, open compartment, but not the one that was highly touted for the extra padding and all.
