4 out of 5 eggsGreat bag, wrong size

Pros: The quality of the bag is great. Very comfortable and has plenty of room of extras. Craftsmanship seemed very good for the price.

Cons: I should have read the other reviews more thoroughly, as they will tell you (and now so will I) that this does not fit most 17.3" laptops. I specifically have an Acer VN7-791G-730V and it does not fit in the laptop pouch. You can almost fit the laptop in the section outside the pouch, but the zippers bulge when doing so.

Other Thoughts: It's too bad this bag isn't the right size for my needs as I otherwise loved it.

1 out of 5 eggsif it fit a 17" laptop...

Pros: it was well made and looked good

Cons: It did not fit my ASUS M70 Series M70Vm-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 (2.53GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium.

Other Thoughts: specs stated 17" so got it because my large Rosewill Black/Silver 17" Notebook Backpack Model RBG-1701BP is tearing away on the top handle and around the back straps.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: It has lots of space. I use this for my computer Tech stuff for troubleshooting and to carry my laptop which is 16 inch fits fine it would be tight to fit 17 inch into it i would imagine
(((make sure you take note Fits most 17" w Notebooks)))

its metal handle with plastic over it is solid the straps are comfortable and can take a really heavy load

I cant stop talking good about it plenty of pockets which i like.

Cons: its not free :P i dont know i like everything about it..

Other Thoughts: SwissGear has had my business in other things now they have my business with this backpack.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Backpack I have ever owned.

Pros: Wow, where do I start? It's got lots of pockets and compartments, has held up pretty good over the years, nothing has broken off or came undone on the construction, the top handle is really sturdy. Again, pockets out the wazoo, I have compartments within compartments to hide small things like flash drives and external USB 3.0 drives. Love the Headphone routing hole although I don't use it much. The Side mesh pockets hold water bottles ok, they don't slip out too easily. When I put it on it's mostly comfortable and doesn't shift around too much. Fits a 15" laptop just fine, haven't tested it with a 17" one yet. The internal padding for the laptop is good, feels like it holds the laptop pretty secure and safe. I love the internal mesh pouch, that's where I keep my power cords for my laptop charging.

Oh and I love the design and color, It was one of the reasons it caught my eye.

Cons: Too much in the backpack can make it uncomfortable on your back but that's an issue that can be easily solved by not putting too much stuff in it. I have a few balance issues when sitting it down, but again, rectified by not putting too much in one compartment. The Air flow design doesn't quite work when you're a heavy set person like me, you still sweat when wearing it and you do sometimes have to re-adjust the straps occasionally.

Other Thoughts: Would like to get a bigger laptop to see if I have any issues with fitting it in my bag like others have stated. Swiss Gear made this Laptop backpack to last. And thank goodness too because I have used it a lot.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for 17" Laptop

Pros: Built quality with a few flaws.

Cons: This computer backpack advertised for 17" laptop but it's not. The laptop compartment is a bit small for a 17". The compartment stitches gave way and the plastic grab handle cracked and almost break in halves; I rarely carry the bag by the handle.

5 out of 5 eggsbest backpack ive owned ever

Pros: This backpack has a spot for everything- i've owned it since i was 18 and now I'll be 24 in november- I've carried all my schoolbooks plus other misc. junk and a laptop in it all at once- had to be between 40 and 60 pounds- this thing is HUGE. it will hold everything up to 17.1 inches- 17.3 popps the zipper and 17.1 is kind of tight until it stretches out a bit- you think the zipper might pop but i promise you it won't. it just needs to stretch the fabric a bit and then it wont be so snug. was over 110 dollars when i bought it new

Cons: The only con is it's too big to fit on an overhead on an airplane and too fat to "fit under the seat in front of you" Not too good for busses either where you have overhead storage..... Not amazing for travel but AMAZING FOR EVERYTHING ELSE. BUY THIS.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty nice backpack

Pros: Great division of pockets. The small "sunglasses" pocket is particularly handy for storing wireless mice, headphones, and other accessories. That small pocket alone holds my earbud case, two wireless mice, my Nexus 4 phone, and a few thumb drives.

Durable construction lets me carry two laptops in the main compartment without any fear of broken handles or the bottom giving out.

Seems to be water resistant. Not proof by any means, but does a decent job keeping moisture out of the interior spaces.

Straps are comfortable even with weight in the backpack.

Cons: There are two "handles" on top. One is a fabric material, the other has a rubbery/plastic piece that moves back and forth over a sheathed cable. This second handle seems much more secure to lift the backpack by, and I did so many times. After about a year of ownership, the rubbery plastic cracked.
Over the course of several months, that piece split into two parts. The edges are NOT sharp, but it is uncomfortable to hold for more than a minute or two.
The underlying cable is untouched and holding up great. I have no fear of it breaking completely.

The logos are annoying to me.

Beyond those two minor issues, the pack is great.

Other Thoughts: Purchased Jan 2011. Used daily for three years hauling a 17 inch Asus laptop and college textbooks. Plenty of abuse from me.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: - One of the few bags that fits 17" laptops
- Tons of pouches, pockets and compartments to keep things separated and organized. Everything has its home in my bag.
- Very solid construction. Not a single thing is broken on mine after 3.5 years.

Cons: - It is expensive for a backpack (but it's worth it).

Other Thoughts: - Don't buy it if you want to stand out. I see it pretty regularly when going through the airport

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: I use this for work and school and it keeps everything I need. The padding is nice and it wears very comfortably. I have owned it for a year and a half now and it still looks stylish. I do have one small tear on the bottom corner because I dropped the bag with a sharp object in it but in the past 8 months the tear doesn't appear to have gotten any bigger. From daily use, the zippered pocket to put your laptop charger in is a little torn as well but overall it is worth every penny.

Cons: none
