Pros: looks nice, probably work for a smaller notebook
Cons: my 18.4" Qosmio X505 slides right off no matter how i position it, also it adds about 1.5 - 2 inches of height so using it on a notebook stand would be hard even if it did grip.

Pros: Good cooling on my laptop, (17 inch gateway with a geforce 9800m gts) keeps it 7 to 10 degrees cooler on average.
Cons: the light in the fan isn't very bright, don't notice it unless i take my laptop off.
Other Thoughts: should have a usb hub built in, but that it is not a big deal.

Pros: Solid sturdy construction, fan runs very quiet, you can hardly tell its on. Cooled down my Toshiba Tecra laptop Core 2 duo processors by 20 degrees celsius and the hard drive by 10 degrees celsius. At idle, CPUs are 30,31 and hard drive @ 28 degrees celsius.
Cons: On /off switch is for blue LED not the fan itself, as others have stated, usb cable seems fragile, but so far so good.
Other Thoughts: My laptop was overheating while watching video or while on google street view, etc. after a while, webpages would load slow, or video would get choppy, CPUs were up to over 70 degrees celsius, and hard drive at 42 celsius. This product will cool your laptop down, I get cold now as it blows the air out the sides, front and back. I have not set this on my lap, I use it on a desktop and tv tray. This product will cool down your laptop. I included some of my temperatures to show how well it works.
