3 out of 5 eggsIts Good

Pros: Before i write my review i use this for a 15.4 inch Mac Book Pro.

This keeps my laptop fairly cold when I'm doing normal things like Homework, surfing the web and what have you.

It also has-
Power button
Speed adjustment
Tilt adjustment
Has a lot of room to breath

Cons: It has two usb slots in the back, but you need one to power it so if your hoping to get extra ports your out of luck.

When i first got it, it was quiet, now about a month or two later it makes noise if my laptop puts pressure on the corners and you have to move it.

When i do use my laptop to game. This fan doesn't do much to stop it from heating up. I can feel my keyboard getting hot and the keys are on fire, if you press fa button for to long you have to let go because it gets so hot.

The laptop gets really hot in the top left corner where the power supply and all the ports are. Most of the airflow is directly in the middle and doesn't have enough power to reach and cool that side.

Other Thoughts: It would benefit having a little stop in the front and more usb ports. And maybe two small fans on the top corners of the product

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!!!

Pros: I have a HP dm3 notebook which runs hot where your palms rest. This cooler is exactly what I needed. The large fan blows are from the bottom, well placed passages onto the ENTIRE bottom surface and vents out naturally through the X frame and slight rise of the rubber feet of your laptop. Very efficient cooling throughout the surface of the computer. The fan speed is adjustable from a whisper to the standard noise of a desktop.

Cons: I wish I had some criticism but this is a well engineered cooling system.

Other Thoughts: I purchased one to check it out, now I'm buying another to use at work. My laptop is on almost 20 hours a day, I need it to be as cool and reliable as possible.

The riser design may not be to everyone's liking but it does provide a comfortable setting to type. The riser is key to the big fan design and air distribution. Those thin one or two little fan cooler just don't cut it. Buy, this one and keep your computer happy.

Side Note: This is the first product in probably seven years shopping on Newegg that enticed my to write a review. It is that good.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop cooler

Pros: First let me say I use my laptop for gaming. Before I bought a cooler, while gaming, it would get above 80 celsius and it would get too hot to rest my hands on. So I decided to purchase a cooler from my local electronic store. I bought a targus chill hub and it averaged 73 celsius which was ok but still hot. I then bought a belkin cooler which had one less fan but designed better for air flow and that averaged 68 celsius. I knew there had to be a better cooler so I looked on newegg at all the coolers and reviews. It came down to this one vs the zalman and I chose this one because the X shape seemed better for air ventilation. Definitely a good decision because while gaming this cooler will average 58 celsius and thats playing bad company 2, starcraft 2, and team fortress 2. Amazing cooler, can change the speed for different needs, doesn't take up a usb spot, angled for better wrist comfort, and keeps my laptop generally cool while gaming.

Cons: so far none

Other Thoughts: IMO this is one of the best laptop coolers even if you don't game. Its cheap and does what its supposed to.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Affordable Notebook Cooler

Pros: The design accommodates my 17" Toshiba laptop. Adjustable fan speed allows you maximize cooling efficiency. Metal mesh design also allows for the absorption of heat. Excellent for your lap; the cooler is designed with the 120x120x5mm fan that is positioned right in between your knees, so your legs aren't blocking the fan. Has two kick stands in the back to give you that arch if you are using this on a flat surface.

Cons: Comes with two USB ports with one occupied with the USB cord to the laptop for power (Not enough to take off a egg but something you should know if you like the four USB port designed coolers.)

Other Thoughts: I am a college student and I am a MMORPG gamer; so I play WoW (World of Warcraft) and WAR (Warhammer Online). Anyone who knows about these games has a idea of the heating issues you experience if you are playing these on a laptop; especially if you have the graphic settings on High. The CoolMaster X1 solved my heating issues. I played WAR and WoW for an hour and I did not notice any overheating. You have 750-15000RPM Fan speed to adjust to meet your cooling needs. I read in the reviews that a couple people had issues with the Cooler pushing out air. I have not noticed any of these issues. The fan speed in this cooler is comparable to that of a Desktop case fan. Keep in mind though that the higher the fan speed setting the more power it will suck out of your battery; which makes sense. Overall this cooler is affordable, lightweight and designed really well. Gets a A+ from me. I will review a second time in a few weeks to give a more product experienced review.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth your time

Pros: None really

Cons: This unit is a waste of your time. It will not cool a laptop because it does not move enough air. You can put your hand over the fan and cannot even tell it is blower air.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a very poor design and I would not buy it again.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for any inconvenience. The item in question comes with a 1 year warranty, if the item is not working properly, we will replace it. The fans on this item are specified to run from 22 CFM to 44 CFM depending on how your move the speed controller. If the knob is set to the lowest setting, then airflow will suffer. 5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooling Pad

Pros: this is a great cooling pad, lasted better than any other cooling pad i've owned. the fan is strong and air doesn't get blocked while on lap. i like the adjustable fan speed too. works well with my 15 inch laptop and my 19 inch laptop. i also like that it has an extra usb port, so you aren't losing one by using the fan.

Cons: i wish it had some way to keep the laptop on top. my kept sliding off. this was a minor inconvenience and easily solved.

Other Thoughts: my quick solution for the laptops sliding off, was to put some velcro on both laptops and then on the fan. worked really well.

i would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality fan.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cooling pad purchased yet!

Pros: This cooling pad works great with a wide range of laptops. My wife's old pad died out in less than a year and rather than fuddle with the warranty for that one which we didn't like anyhow we bought a new pad. This one. Great design. Nice tilt to it. Fits her HP Pavilion DV2840se well. When we tried it on my brother-in-law's behemoth of an HP laptop with a 17" widescreen LCD on it, it just barely fit and was mostly usable for that size laptop. I wouldn't recommend a larger laptop be used. Love the fan speed control dial.

Cons: Laptop occasionally slides if not positioned properly. But, nothing other than that is wrong.
