3 out of 5 eggsUnpowered USB HUB - BIG FAIL

Pros: Feels sturdy and good quality, 4 USB ports (see cons), quiet fan (I do not game so I don't need it at the fastest speed). On/Off switch and speed control for the fan.

Cons: Does not come with power supply so I need to be very careful what I connect to those USB ports.

Other Thoughts: I was debating among many other units with the same "ergo" function. What made me decide for this one was the "powered HUB". BIG FAIL!. It is powered IF you buy a power supply which does not show anywhere. Connecting 4 USB devices + running its fan will definitely hurt my laptop's motherboard. I should have gone for the competitor for half the price with only two unpowered USB, at least I know myself or anyone in my house is less likely to overload my laptop's USB port.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: If you need a cooling pad you HAVE to buy this one. All the other pads i had only cooled my computer down maybe 10 degrees... Without a cooling pad my laptop runs at 130+ degrees Fahrenheit and now it is under 100 at all times! I can torrent, watch movies, and skype (skype movie date w/ the GF) all at the same time and it still stays below 100! I came back from work today and it was at 72 degrees while torrenting! This pad is amazing! And it is a stand too! It is all good quality.. I am honestly blown away by this product. I never expected it to work this well. My laptop is 14x10 and it fits perfectly with about a half inch to spare on the sides (but i dont think it would be a problem with a larger laptop). The fan is not bad.. I actually keep it up full blast all the time and it does not bother me, it is quieter than my internal computer fan (which never turns on anymore!!)

Cons: No cons so far. I havent had it long but so far it is perfect

5 out of 5 eggsCool (pun intended)

Pros: A USB hub on a cooler that actually works without problems!

This thing has been great. Keeps my laptop a few degrees cooler inside and a good bit cooler on the outside while providing a nice place to put it as well as more ports. I use it on my desk or around the home when needed and it keeps the laptop in place just fine (at lower angles). The little holder rubber things are only needed for higher angles (that I never use).

Cons: Not a con to me but the little holder things for higher angles do not stay in the unit very well. I use it always at lower angles though so this is not a problem for me but may be for you.

Other Thoughts: The USB hub has never given me trouble as other models have in the past. Things stay connected without issue.

The rubber it uses to hold laptops in place works great for laptops with shorter feet and the plastic its made of lets laptops with longer feet grip perfectly. In my case both are in contact providing an even better grip.

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget cooler

Pros: It works great with very little noise. Intuitive design. Solid feeling

Cons: Nothing really as a "con"

Other Thoughts: I'd like to see the USB ports closer to the edge for ease of use.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop stand!

Pros: Does an excellent job of cooling my Acer, adjustable height is great because the keyboard on my laptop is horrible, I was able to use a USB one. builds up some dust in the fan grate but it's nothing a little canned air can't fix.

Cons: The little rubber feet that hold the laptop are very easily misplaced, Cooler Master send me a new set at no cost though.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but underpowered

Pros: Large enough to fit my gaming laptop.
A little hard on the edges, but not totally uncomfortable to have on your lap.
Quiet, stays cool, and the usb ports and cable traps are a nice touch.
Not all that ugly.

Cons: Probably too large to comfortably travel with your laptop.
Just too underpowered. My lappy's GPU was clocking in at 110C when I play TF2, and this cooling pad couldn't even get it back under 105.

Other Thoughts: If you're not the type who games, and just need something to keep air circulating through your laptop, this just might work for you.
Personally, I'll try again with something with some more oomph.

5 out of 5 eggsA nice little cooling pad.

Pros: I've had this for a few months, as I noticed my laptop had a tendency to overheat. I wanted to play video games on it, and the overheat issue would cause it to lag more than it already did. So I started looking for something to help it out, and found this on an excellent sale. It keeps the laptop ~10 degrees Celsius cooler.
In addition, it has a usb hub (which is how the fan is powered). It comes in handy as a home docking stand for that application, as the stand is set-up to handle some minor cable management. It also has a power switch and speed control for the fan, in case you need it a little quieter and aren't doing anything intensive with your laptop.

Cons: None so far, except that it is more of a desk stand than a lap desk for a computer.

Other Thoughts: Several months later, and I'm still waiting on the rebate. Don't count on rebates to really bring the price down, but think of them as possible future surprises. Even without the rebate, for me, this cooler stand was well worth the price and I'm very happy with it.

3 out of 5 eggsBulky, ugly and has no adapter

Pros: Fan works pretty good, and adjustable as advertised. May be appealing to gamers.

Cons: - Looks very ugly. The pictures make it seem look somewhat cool.
- It is huge. Be sure to check dimensions.
- Even on the setting to make it closest to the desk, the laptop lies pretty elevated compared to the surface, making it quite uncomfortable to use the computer.
- The adapter is not included.
- Fan is clearly audible on even the lowest setting, outright loud on the highest.

All in all, I expected much more from Cooler Master. I ended up using this as a laptop stand for a year and a half, mostly unplugged except when gaming.

Other Thoughts: May be good for hardcore gamers who don't want to spend too much money on a laptop stand?! But who really falls into that category? Someone who affords a gaming computer may as well pay a bit more and get a decent cooler.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the laptop cooler. Please clarify what kind of noise is the laptop cooler making. If the fans are defective, we will have to get that replaced. Any issues please contact us directly either on live chat or by phone. Link below for your reference.

Respectfully,

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great with an affordable price

Pros: It's nice to have a product and have it work the first go without having to adjust it. This notebook cooler fits my laptops size just like stated. It's fan speed is adjustable and it most cases the lowest setting keeps my computer running at a good temperature. The four USB extensions are nice and work unlike other cooling pads I've tried.

Cons: The holders at the bottom are a little bulky and can get in the way when typing. They also hook over the laptop a bit which means it won't close all the way.

Other Thoughts: I can't imagine a scenario that would require the holders at the bottom to hook over the laptop. Seems like just having them prevent it from sliding down or to the side would be more than sufficient.
