1 out of 5 eggsFailed in 3 months

Pros: Quiet
Great when it worked

Cons: Failed in 3 months
Fans would not come up, even after trying on multiple computers.

Other Thoughts: I really think the warranty is a joke. I got this for free after rebate, and it costs $10-15 shipped for a new one.
To ship it back would cost more than what you can pay for a new one. It wasn't worth shipping it back for me after my RMA got approved so I'll just wait for another deal on a Zalman.

My Zalman was been running on my daily laptop for over 1.5 years without any problems.

I'm not sure if I'll get another Cooler Master laptop cooler anymore.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Cooler

Pros: Good Cooler, was quiet at first. Has female usb port over the male plugin so it doesn't take up a slot on your laptop.

Cons: After about 2 weeks the fan got gradually louder. This is used on my gaming laptop, so I have my headset on 95% of the time anyway, and you can't hear it w/ the headset on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Pad

Pros: Keeps everything nice and cool. Very quiet, and sucks almost no power

Cons: a tad too small for a 15.6" laptop, but it still fits if centered properly.

Other Thoughts: this thing is quiet and very good. I recommend it for everybody

3 out of 5 eggsEffective but a little noisy

Pros: The air flow provided by the fan cooled my laptop by an average of 14 degrees C. That was actually more than I expected. Temps were monitored using CPUID HWMonitorPro.

Cons: The general build quality is lower than I was hoping for. My main concern is what seems to be a cheap fan used in this cooler. The fan started to make audible vibration sounds right after I plugged it in for the first time. I purchased two of these and they both do the same so I didn't bother contacting support.

Other Thoughts: Given the very low price that I paid for this laptop cooler I am somewhat satisfied. I will continue to use the two that I bought but I will certainly go for a better designed unit next time.

3 out of 5 eggsBetter but not quite right

Pros: Supports my laptop at a good height and angle; has reduced laptop internal fan speed

Cons: I was expecting the unit to cool my laptop enough the internal fans would run at the minimum speed, unfortunately the are still running fast (aka loud); the fans on the unit itself are not as quiet as expected.

5 out of 5 eggsRight price

Pros: Good size, good angle, light weight, quiet, good price.

Cons: Will not solve a major overheating issue, but supplies a constant supply of cooler air under the laptop without the noise.

Other Thoughts: As stated, not a major wind blaster, but does not sound like one either. This cooling pad is just right if you want to use the laptop on your 'lap' or bed, which as we all know is not normally good since you would be blocking the vents. With a cooling pad like this one, that is less of an issue since it raises it up and supplies air under it. This is just what my wife needed.

4 out of 5 eggscooling pad reasonable price

Pros: PRICE $ 4.99 after mail in rebate is attractive price. I am using this to cool my WD router and Motorola Cable modem. I have powered up from USB port of router. It is also convenient to use for laptop and it is needed when we keep laptop on laps. It cools laptop and motor is silent. Sound is not noticiable.

Cons: Earlier I bought same model from online when it was on promotion and I paid $4.99 But that lasted 1 month only. I believe problem is the power cable which is in built and power cable should be separate and user replaceable.

Other Thoughts: Manufacturer should give option to use USB A to USB A Cable for power supply and if they make model with this cable then it will be long lasting. Most of the time inside fan will not die but problem is created by power cable which fails.

2 out of 5 eggsnot strong enough to cool my laptop

Pros: was cheap.

Cons: this may just be for my laptop, but the fans don't seem to cool it very well. Maybe they are in the wrong location, but haven't had this issue with other laptop coolers. The fan is very noisy. There is no lip on the edge to keep the laptop from sliding off the end. I gave up on this and just bought another cooler. The Antec cooler worked much better for my 13" sony vaio.
