1 out of 5 eggsLost my faith in Theraltake

Pros: Um, the USB ports on the thing work perfectly

Cons: Everything else! This is such a piece of junk! It is VERY noisy! it was engineered by a person that forgot the theory of this product... To cool a laptop. He or she forgot to ask themselves this paramount question: where does the cooling air come from, and where does the warm air go? The unit draws air from down below, and that is fine, if you put the "legs" up on this thing (like a keyboard), but who the h311 does that anymore!

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this product again with a gun to my head. I would not give it to a friend in need and certainly (if I were Thermaltake) I would pull this piece of junk off the market because it is giving them a bad name. If they want to make products like this, I am off the Thermaltake name. Again, a 7 year old could have engineered this thing better... Just too bad I can't give this product a zero egg. And yes, it is that bad.

2 out of 5 eggsJust not worth it

Pros: The small size is a plus

Cons: Very low cooling, ball bearings wear/ break after a few months, very loud.

Other Thoughts: I knew I would be sacrificing some cooling power when I got this model, but I did realize how much. Also, after a few months the ball bearings began to cause problems. Even though I put it on my desk and left it there, it still managed to break. Now it is just a screaching brick under my computer.

3 out of 5 eggsBe Careful

Pros: It is quite compact, able to carry in my laptop case so i would have it with me everywhere. it worked quite well as a cooler

Cons: there are 2 feet on teh back to prop uw your laptop and make it function like a normal keyboard, however these feet are quite cheap. i was not abusive to it and while i was typing one day it just snapped now making the tilt feature useless, i figured i could still use the usb hub and cooling feature which i did until the usb hub quit working, i think the usb stopped because the power supply seemed to not be able to plug in all the way, looked like the plug had sunk into the cooler, overall not a bad cooler but a couple critical oversights in craftsmanship

Other Thoughts: this would probably be a decent cooler with a smaller laptop than what i was using too because of weight and size, i was using a 15.4" widescreen laptop on it and it just barely fit, fell off kinda easily so if you intend to use this on a widescreen 15.4" or larget i would stay away, i am currently using a coolermaster one which states for widescreen but it is still too small, im looking at teh new zalman one now, checked the dimensions and looks promising
