Horrible Cooler Longrun
- Pros: Quiet
- Cons: Loose USB cord going into the cooler, doesn't cool well enough, too small
- Other Thoughts: I have a Toshiba Laptop 12.1 Inch U-205 and this cooler made the back stick out. Upon cooling my laptop internal fan still went off and this thing is horrible on the lap. Also in the long run the fan starts turning alot slower than before. I recommend getting another Cooler than this unless you have an 11.1 inch laptop.
Is good for the price
- Pros: The cooler is extremely silent.
Works like it should. My laptop used to get up to the 80C~ now it says around 65-70C~ after heavy use. Somewhat durable I carry around with me in my backpack when i go to classes, hasn't died or broke on me yet.
- Cons: Plastic, a its is a little flimsy.
- Other Thoughts: I own a tx1000z CTO, and tx1000 users should know how hot this thing gets. AMD x64 x2 TL-60 2.0GHz, 2 GB DDR-2 RAM, Intergrated nVIDIA nforce 430 GeForce 6150SE.
So far its been worth the money.
Works well
- Pros: I have an Acer Travelmate 8200. Let me put it to you this way. The heat that would come from the cpu cooler would keep a cup of coffee warm! Which, don get me wrong, can be a VERY good thing. However now that I got this cooler the cpu fan doesn't come on anymore!! I have no idea how to tell you operating temperatures of this laptop, I don't care anymore for that matter. No matter how hard I use this with AutoCAD or Acrobat the fan just does not come on. That says a great deal if you ask me. And there are no hot spots, well other than the 7200rpm hard drive, but no manufacturer of lapotops cares about cooling the HD's, so what can you do? Other than mod the case!
You'll be very happy with this cooler. But like any laptop cooler you really want to make sure the fans are gonna put air where YOUR laptop need it!! Don't just aimlessly buy one!
- Cons: Wont sit on you lap that easily, unless you do what I did and use velcro to secure it. Which makes sense if you think about fan placement and consistancy.
- Other Thoughts: Acer Travelmate 8204Wlmi
