Other Thoughts: The padlock is way too large for the application, making the total package awkward. Replacing the included padlock with a smaller model makes for a nice lock.

Pros: I bought lock for my daughter in college to secure her laptop. She opened package today, 2/21 but the key does not fit in lock therefore it's useless to her.

Cons: I'm a little disappointed because I bought products from Newegg before they worked. Can I still return this product or can an agent tell me how to get it to work?

Pros: Cheap, key lock, simple design, long cable, should fit any type of security socket.

Cons: Had to 'persuade' the key into the lock with a hammer! There was a little burr left on the lock that should be cleared off by a wire brush at the factory. After the key was forced in once, it worked normally.

Other Thoughts: Works fine if you're not afraid to clean a burr off the lock.

Other Thoughts: I am using this to secure IMac's for a campus. The little swivel adapter is easily broken off or yanked out if you pull hard enough. But the cable easily loops through the hole in the back of the metal stand for the imac, and locks it into place. I bough this knowing the adapter was no good, but the cable is thin enough to be cut with a regular pair of side cutters.

This item is more for theft deterrent rather than theft prevention

Pros: It looks solid. Without specialized tools it appears to be difficult and time consuming to break the lock.

Cons: The pivot device (the scissor thing that gets inserted into the laptop) is extremely hard to secure. I had to use a pair of pliers to do it. I contacted Belkin's tech support, who advised me to try a different key. They apparently did not understand that if I cannot get the padlock through the hole (which cannot be done if the pivot device cannot close) then it does not matter which key I use.

Other Thoughts: I am trying to use this with a Lenovo G530-444635U, so my difficulties may not apply to other laptops.

Pros: It is easy to use for the most part. Bag comes in very handy. Secure connection.

Cons: We bought quite a few of these locks straight from Belkin for staff members, but there are 3 different pieces to this lock. 4 if you count the key. Staff members lost the small black piece that connects into the computer. I tried calling Belkin to get a replacement, but they refused to let me order just that small piece, which renders the whole lock useless.

Other Thoughts: I wish customer service would have worked with me a little more. It isn't hard to just not put the rest of the lock in the box.

Pros: Works well, fits on both my monitor and laptop. Don't have to worry about being picked like those kensington locks. Simple to use and cheap. Secure cable

Cons: Got two and the keys look identical..had to paint them to distinguish between the two. As someone said, the hinge is exposed but thats a minor issue.

Pros: It simply works, other than that there is nothing special about this lock. You can use your own lock if you want, so that you could lock several things with one lock.

Cons: Keyed, not combo, but that is preference.
