3 out of 5 eggsPretty good - layout could be better

Pros: Lots of compartments
Fairly comfortable

Cons: If you actually use all of the compartments, the bag gets extremely big and bulky. If you took a cross-section, you have the following areas from back to front (with a "|" being a divider in the backpack):

|Laptop|Charger|Main 1|Main2|Sub 1|Sub2|Mesh|Pen1|Pen2|Pen3|

So when you fill it up, it can stretch out to about 14 inches wide. That can put some strain on you. It also doesn't fit in overhead compartments when travelling. If I really fill it up, I have to take stuff out to make it fit on a plane. It's that big.

After several years of use, one of my zippers broke.

Other Thoughts: Good buy overall. It's be better if they arranged some of the space to that it wasn't quite so bulky.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lots of room, plenty of pockets. Plenty of room for my laptop, hip flask, a few snacks and still room for books.

Cons: Another user wrote that they could over load the pack and make it too heavy. The adjustment straps slip so I keep having to tighten them up. It would probably help if I didn't load the pack with 30# then run across campus.

Other Thoughts: I only have a 14.5" laptop so I have plenty of room for the cord, my external mouse and a few other accessories without taking up too much space.

5 out of 5 eggsBuilt for it

Pros: Has a pocket for EVERYTHING. Felt lined pocket for my Razer Copperhead. Can carry 2 laptops without breaking your back. Ripstop nylon and ridiculously sturdy.

Cons: Price. Placement of MP3 pouch is a bit inconvenient.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for an Asus G50-X6 laptop (from Newegg) and it barely fits. Like a dinner jacket that is 2 sizes to small. However, as a testament to the backpack, I can still fit this plus another 15" work laptop. I like the looks, the construction, and the backpack was well worth the cheese. Plus, I ordered Sunday night, Newegg had it to me on Tuesday morning. Go Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Notebook Backpack

Pros: Great Notebook BackPack. I carry my notebook and also textbooks in this backpack. It is a very sturdy backpack with great material.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is a great backpack for going to school / college with even if you don't plan on carrying a notebook in it. I believe this will last for many years with no problems.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it is supposed to do

Pros: I have traveled the world twice with this bag and it still looks new and I can always find something to put in every pocket. I think I have had the bag for almost 4 years.

Cons: Not really a CON, but I can find too many things to put in this bag and I always overstuff it making it too heavy. I do not like where the laptop sits in the bag...seems like it is an accident waiting to happen. 4 stars for that because I have never had a problem, but always worried I would.

2 out of 5 eggsToo Small

Pros: haven't found one, cannot use it too small and tight!!!!

Cons: This backpack is too small in length, when you put it on your back it rides right below your middle back and pulls constantly at your shoulders.

Other Thoughts: the price is outlandish too!!!

5 out of 5 eggsVery decent laptop backpack

Pros: This backpack is solid and very light when empty (compared to my anciet eastpack) I crammed every pocket on this thing with my stuff until it looked more stuffed than that picture and it feels good on the back.

The best feature is that no matter how much you cram into the main compartments, the laptop pocket remains un-crushed. The side pockets have ample room for tons of pens and iPods.
The "jacketflap" could be usefull if the pack isn't too stuffed, but even filled to the brim you could store a book, some notebooks, cables and what not in that space and in the mesh pocket underneath the "flap".

The bottom is heavy-duty nylon and even the main non-laptop-area is padded on the bottom!

The top handle feels very solid and is more like very hard rubber than hard plastic.

Cons: The pack was smaller than 16x11x18 would indicate, but still spacious.

The padding on the bottom of the backpack in the laptop pocket could be thicker. There's about 1/4in worth of padding, but I'm really paranoid about my laptop,
If you're not carrying a laptop, then there's TONS of padding between you and the books, but the padding on the back between you and the laptop could also be thicker, again about 1/4in, but it is still adequate.
All the zipper-pulls are cloth, so a padlock for the laptop are wouldn't work very well.

Other Thoughts: Lol, product understanding on a backpack.

It fits a five-star zipper binder (stuffed), calculus book, Linux programming book, ORiely pearl book, 2 one-subject notebooks, my compaq v5000z 15.4 w/ ac adapter and 12 cell battery, and my keys (little front pocket at the very front)
