When it absolutely needs to stay on forever, Arctic Silver's Arctic Alumina premium ceramic alumina adhesive is the way to go. This high temp adhesive will ensure that the heatsink will stick to whatever you attach it to.

The ceramic composition means that there is no danger of a short circuit, unlike the silver based compounds. Arctic Alumina conducts heat away from sensitive components and improves the efficiency of your cooling system. Keep things cool and functioning under the hottest action!

  • newegg Micronized Aluminum Oxide and Boron Nitride The Arctic Silver AATA-5G uses a layered composite of three unique shapes and sizes of ceramic particles to maximize particle-to-particle contact area and thermal transfer, delivering higher performance than most metal based compounds.
  • newegg Ease of Use The Arctic Silver AATA-5G is packaged in a syringe for easy control of the amount applied and a spreader is included for convenient daubing of the paste.

5 out of 5 eggsOops...

Pros: sticks really well, no shorts, Etc.

Cons: I almost applied it to my heatsync as thermal paste.

Other Thoughts: It's great though, don't apply to CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks extremely well

Pros: Holds very strong, sets very fast, does not seem to cause shorts, it is advertised to be non conductive that is why i chose it over the other thermal adhesives. seems to xfer heat very well my memory chips are working well affixed with this adhesive.

Cons: No Cons

Other Thoughts: Mix very little at a time and affix 1-2 pieces at a time, it will dry before you install mass parts, take your time.

I started using the video card for litecoin mining within 30-40 minutes of affixing the last part and everything is holding well.

5 out of 5 eggslocks like steel

Pros: locks like steel over some of that other heat-sink glue that comes with a gelid or thermal pads for gpu memory chips/ sets fast.

Cons: since it sets fast/don't screw up/or u can try twisting off the heat-sink no to damage the memory/had to do it once/didn't damage anything/

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: Glues things together. Be careful might glue yourself to something.

Cons: I hope you mean besides color :-p

Other Thoughts: I bought this to specifically re-adhere my ihs to my 3770k pcb chip. It seems to be pretty good for that. I put 4 dabs on the ihs in the corners just in case i were to run into a problem with my de-lid process. 5.0ghz pushing 1.5 volts and it doesn't even flinch with temps. I'm ecstatic. CL Ultra on the core and mx-4 on the ihs to water block and all goes well 20c roughly with this closed loop antec 120mm. Couldn't be happier.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: -Very easy to use.
-Excellent thermal performance.
-Perfect amount of working time.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to reattach a north bridge heatsink who's clips broke off the motherboard on a server of ours. Heatsink is on solid and thermal efficiency is top notch. Just a note, DO NOT use this on your CPU or anything else you may have to take apart at some point. Once this stuff dries that's pretty much it, you probably won't be getting the components to come apart and still work anytime soon.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent adhesive for heat spreaders.

Pros: Easy to mix and relatively easy to work with. You have about 5-8 minutes before it starts to get unworkable. This is good for reattaching heat spreaders which you removed. I usually put a weight on top to make sure that the thermal paste in the center of the die makes contact.

Cons: Strong chemical smell if not in a properly ventilated area. The smell personally gives me a headache, but is worth it.

Other Thoughts: Good cost and not too hard to work with.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Great product. Mixed easily, bonded well (about the thickness of liquid metal before it sets up). Was set in about 10 minutes, and I was able to put my card to use right away.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Make sure you mix it on something disposable. Impossible to get clean if you spill it on something.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Heat transfer is great. I used this thermal adhesive to fix little heatsinks to my graphics card. It holds very well over a short time BUT!!!

Cons: It eventually decides to weaken (give it several months) and heatsinks fall. It is not a big deal where those heatsinks aren't critical and can be refixed using the thermal adhesive, BUT I wouldn't recommend it over critical jobs. Still better than thermal tape!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat choice for cooling needs

Pros: I used this adhesive to add a Arctic Cooling III fan to my HD6950 and it worked just like its supposed to. I used it to adhere the aluminum heat sinks in place. Using just a thin layer of adhesive, I'm confident they will never come off. You don't need much adhesive to do the trick..thinner is better. I also used it to attach a long copper shim on the bottom of my VRM cooler and it worked great again. I read that adhesive that comes with aftermarket cooling solutions is often sub-par, so decided to use this adhesive, for better piece of mind. The bottom line is it works great and well worth upgrading to. There is plenty for future projects. Just be sure to store the unused portion in the fridge.

Cons: No cons that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Good product with great results, that will never come off.
