When it absolutely needs to stay on forever, Arctic Silver's Arctic Alumina premium ceramic alumina adhesive is the way to go. This high temp adhesive will ensure that the heatsink will stick to whatever you attach it to.

The ceramic composition means that there is no danger of a short circuit, unlike the silver based compounds. Arctic Alumina conducts heat away from sensitive components and improves the efficiency of your cooling system. Keep things cool and functioning under the hottest action!

  • newegg Micronized Aluminum Oxide and Boron Nitride The Arctic Silver AATA-5G uses a layered composite of three unique shapes and sizes of ceramic particles to maximize particle-to-particle contact area and thermal transfer, delivering higher performance than most metal based compounds.
  • newegg Ease of Use The Arctic Silver AATA-5G is packaged in a syringe for easy control of the amount applied and a spreader is included for convenient daubing of the paste.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat stuff

Pros: strong bond, 5 mins working time 15 min set to handle....

Cons: it's epoxy, you aint gona get it off once it's on there... is that really a con though?

Other Thoughts: strong bond, mix well and apply quick, 5 min working time, 15 mins after than you can handle the parts, full cure in 24hrs

5 out of 5 eggsUse in well ventalated area

Pros: Transfers heat and bonds surfaces together

Cons: bad fumes when in liquid form

Other Thoughts: This is more than just thermal paste. It is glue to bond a heatsink to a chip where no clips or springs are present to hold the heatsink on. It also transfers heat to the heatsink. Works great!

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Strong

Pros: This thing will definitely, without any problem, hold any heatsink down permanently. I know first hand.

Cons: The only con is on my end. I accedentally used this as a thermal paste for my cpu heatsink... DO NOT do that, it's a terrible idea. Unless you want it that way.

THIS IS NOT A THERMAL GREASE!!!!! I'm just nuts.

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent for small heat sinks

Pros: Excellent for bonding small heat sinks to Raspberry Pi chipsets or small project amplifiers where there is no other way to attach. Much better than adhesive pads.

Cons: None that I can see when used for a reasonable application.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome.

Pros: This stuff is astounding, I mean, it literally cures in about 30 minutes... But to be safe make sure to wait atleast 2 hours before using your/whatever you used the adhesive on.(me) Gtx 680 aftermarker cooler The OEM fan died. Other thoughts

Cons: The only thing i can gripe about is that it literally hits stage 2 of curing (if you go to arcticsilvers website it tells you its cure steps) in about 5 minutes... On bottles it says mix for 5 minutes at a 1:1 ratio... Don't, or you'll be only gluing 3-4 vram/voltage regulator heatsinks before it's a gel that won't stick anymore. Other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I bought an arctic accellero twin turbo II, And the adhesive in that was complete junk, didn't even cure in 24 hours. So I bought this stuff, and worked like a charm. After the first time i mixed the two together for the recommended time, i got 3 vram heatsinks on before it was impossible to use, and hardened 5 minutes later, Had to mix two more small batches to complete the project. Overall best adhesive i've used. But use it quick and have everything prepped, cleaned and ready before using.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: If you want heat sinks PERMANANTLY attached, this is what you need. Worked well, quick dry time.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You better make sure you want the heat sinks on forever, 'cause it's not coming back off after it sets.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I used this for mounting an extra copper NB heat sink to my Low profile passive cooling video card for extra cooling in a midtower atx case. The heat sink was mounted on the top of the other one present with the video card in the mobo. It made my idle temps drop 7 C. The adhesive has held the extra heat sink without fail even after transfer of the video card to a different PC.

The set time gave me plenty of time to get the epoxy mixed well without needed to rush into placement of the heat sink.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGood adhesive to keep in stock

Pros: - Adhesive strength
- Quantity
- Resealable tube for later use on other projects
- Price

Cons: - Reaction of the two pastes smells a bit funky

Other Thoughts: I am pleased with the quality of this adhesive as it dries much more quickly than others and has very good bonding strength.
