Asus provides a quiet upper-level CPU cooling solution with the Arctic Square. A bit larger than the average cooler, the Arctic Square uses that increased area for increased cooling capacity. Its 92mm 2300RPM fan lies at the core of the nickel-plated aluminum cooling fins.
Heat is drawn from the CPU to this double array through 4 sealed 6mm copper heat pipes. The already quiet fan is muffled by its location at the heart of the cooler and PWM functionality enables it to operate even quieter when thermal need is low. The entire heat sink is plated in nickel for a sleek look and the internal blue LED lights create a glow effect that will enhance your system's appearance.
The Arctic Square comes with different mounting brackets to fit both AMD socket 754, 939, 940 AM2 & LGA775 processors and Intel socket 775 CPUs. Installation is simple and quick and only requires a screwdriver. Whether you're pushing your processors to the limit with the latest first-person shooter, or merely typing e-mails, the Arctic Square will keep your system frosty.

Awesome CPU Cooler
- Pros: By far the coolest cpu cooler I have seen. Cool blue LED's. Does a great job keeping AMD am2 +6000 cool even when it is oc to 3.35 GHZ. My idle temps are 32 C and load temps have yet to pass 58 C.
- Cons: I put this thing on on a ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition mobo, but the heat pipes keep you from turing the cooler the right way for it to blow the hot air out the back of my case. You would think since the mobo and the heat sink are both from asus they wouldve say that an fixed it. Hence the 4 star rating
- Other Thoughts: I still love it but if you have the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition just be aware that you will need good air flow in your case to make up for this over look
Updated Review after Arctic Silver Break In
- Pros: An update to my previous review. After having the arctic sliver thermal paste go through it's 200 hour break in period, now getting outstanding results with this product.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Idle temps are now 19c on core 1, 23c on core 0 on E6600 conroe. Those break out to 66F and 73F, very cool, considering the room temp was 76f at the reading, it amazed me it kept the cpu at under room temps. At a load, never goes above 44c. I will never have to worry about over heating my core duo again with the cooler attached.
