ASUS V-60 92mm Vapo Bearing CPU Cooler

  • 2300 ±10% RPM with PWM
  • 36.5 CFM
  • Cu. Base + Al. Fins + 4 Heat Pipes
ICON Loading...

The V-60 by Asus is a compact cooler that provides improved cooling for Intel-based computers. Four high-performance, sealed copper heat pipes direct heat away from the CPU and towards 36 cooling fins. Air is drawn over these aluminum fins by a quiet 92mm Sunon Vapo Bearing fan rated at 2300 RPM and moving 36.5CFM of air. The fan is buried in the core of the heatsink allowing it to effectively cool both sides simultaneously while the surrounding structure masks the sound of the fan.

The V-60 supports LGA775 chips including the Intel Core 2 Extreme and Intel Core 2 Quad processors along with Pentium and Celeron chips that also use the LGA775 socket. The fan operates at a subtle 16 decibels, and included PWM functionality lets the fan operate slower – and quieter – at off-peak times while being able to increase speed when thermal need requires extra cooling. Components around the CPU are cooled by airflow to ensure stable computing.

  • newegg Effective Heat Dissipation The copper base and 4 copper heatpipes conduct heat fast and the ladder-shaped high-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation.
  • newegg Inner Fan Technology A large 92mm cooling fan positioned inside the frame optimizes airflow for superior cooling performance. Plus the VRM shield guides cool air to critical components around the CPU for stable operation.
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Cooler for Medium Tower

Pros: You must remove your motherboard. However, this screws into a suppot under the motherboard. It is easy to install. I had others with the snap in pins and returned them. My Cpu started at 30C and is still 30C. I am not overclocking. I have an Intel core 2 duo. It is the best. I use a Gigabyte motherboard GA-EP-45-UD3L. I give it 5 stars ( the Cooler).

5 out of 5 eggsThe v8 of cooling

Pros: Gorgeous, durable, excellent quality. It's a beast.
The fan is inside the heatsink itself, allowing it to pull/push hot air blowing on the heatsink, and from the heatsing itself, out the back.

Fit perfectly, screws actually are not a pain.. a lot of pressure is NOT required.

It works. I love it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure when you put this on, the fan is positioned so it will blow out the back. It fits on multiple ways. SO make sure.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent cooling option!

Pros: Great cooling option, looks and feels heavy-duty. My E8400 stays at 30 C idle and 36 C under load. I especially like the actual metal base and screws that's used to connect this Cooler to the motherboard. After multiple blisters trying to, and failing at, using the plastic pushpin of the stock Intel cooler that came with the E8400, this thing was a godsend.

Cons: None whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsAlways A Great Cooler.

Pros: Excelent cooler. As i said in an erlier review I own three of thees and all in micro cases, They work great on all
socket 775 CPU's that I have tried ranging from celerons
to Quad cores. THEY KEEP YOUR CPU COOL.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: As for AndrewA review, This cooler was designed for socket 775 CPU's not for the new 1366 boards, so don't
blame the cooler, Blame the builder!
